Nobody likes watching a cheat like SOB, blows to the testicles are against the rules and always have been, those rules are there for a reason............Kovalev won the first fight, but was cheated by Roc Nation's judges, in the second fight Tony Weeks was the trick.....................Bob Bennett lied live on HBO and refused to even review the low blows, which was clearly low. So, two wins for Kovalev, SOB lost his arse.....................you can't win by cheating, you can't fool most of the fans in boxing even thought HBO, Showtime, and others think they can.........

 

I fully appreciate Ward like i fully appreciate Floyd Mayweather, when i watch them fight as well as the skills and technique i can pretty much see their brain working as they work out how to handle whats in front of them and the subtle changes as they take control of their opposition. That includes fighting dirty, its part of the game and many greats fought dirty. Ricky Hatton was one of my favourites so cant complain at Wards rough housing.

But the whole package, the way they do choose to fight, as effective as it is can be really boring and just dull, some of the dirty fighting is taken a bit too far, headbutts and nut shots and dragging people down seems a bit desperate and just damn ugly, the persona, attitude, how they speak of other people, the way they speak about themselves and all the trickery, mind games outside the ring, all of that i cant get on with, i just dont like Andre Ward and considering he is an American Olympian and unbeaten world champion who hasnt really captured the hearts of the American public its clear alot of people just cant get on with Andre Ward.

 

I think "boxing fans don't enjoy head butting, hugging and low blows whichever are constantly allowed to go unchecked by biased officials" would be nearer the mark. But that's just me.
