Vlad could never get Wilder to fight him for any amount of money. I think Vlad should have tried harder to get Wilder into a ring before he fought Joshua, easy knockout for either Vlad or Joshua...........

Just watched this for the first time not bevvied and in a busy ale house.
Wow. One of the best fights I've ever seen.

Wlad should not have called it a day. On commentary every pundit had Joshua losing despite two of the three judges saying he was winning (one quite handily, wtf!?)

I'm not the type who only enjoys knock outs and toe to toe wars, I love chess match boxing but I'd never been Wlad's biggest fan as I found him rigid, robotic and boring most of the time but I'd always had tremendous respect for his jab and right hand and how he'd adapted to avoid getting hit which after all is the name of the game.

In my opinion Wlad was coasting to a points win on his toes like an amateur with the spring of someone in his early twenties feinting superbly and not slowing down even in the 11th. 18 months out of the ring after such a bad performance vs Fury and he comes up with that show. I honestly believe he had much more in the tank. I reckon he'd have done Joshua had the rematch gone ahead as he'd probably learn from his mistakes and go for the ko instead of letting him recover this time. Joshua was absolutely gone, I don't know how he survived it. Had he not got careless and let that huge swinging uppercut get him I think he'd have survived and won on points at least with fans who know what they're talking about.

In terms of Joshua, I honestly believe now even more he's got lucky so far. Fair play for the great finish to this fight, great respect for that and his recovery but his only two fights against anyone with a pulse he's been one shot away from being out cold. One time his opponents shoulder went, and the other Klitschko unfortunately couldn't land on a man scrambling around the ring and bouncing off the ropes with his mouth gaped open. In that 5th had there been 20 more seconds in that round the ref would have had to step in. Bear this in mind when you listen to Joshua's post fight interview/self indulgent speech where he actually denied he had to dig deep to win. Haha, what a joke.

As a person who doesn't like Joshua as a man I hope someone comes along and is able to capitalise where Klit and Whyte failed.

To summarise, I'm just gutted Wlad retired at this point because he had more to give. Well done.

he gave an incredible display and should have won the fight. We'll only know how good if Joshua goes on to a long reign.
