Would You Rather See Lomachenko-Garcia or Lomachenko-Rigondeaux (?)

Mikey wouldn't have any excuses but Loma would and Rigo would have excuses if he lost but Loma wouldn't. I know that Davis is not gonna fight him at this time but I think that could get a fight with Berchelt or Corales. If he takes those titles then the Davis people may be forced to make the fight. Securing those other belts will probably take a year and a half and another three to six months to secure the Davis fight.

 

Tough to say. Rigondeaux and Lomachenko are closer in skill level but Lomachenko and Garcia are closer in terms of size. I'm afraid that Lomachenko's size and youth would just be too much for the older smaller Rigondeaux at this date, but things would be fairly competitive between Lomachenko and Garcia for a while because Garcia has got similar dimensions and slightly more weight than Lomachenko at the moment. I'll go with Garcia because it's more fair.

 

This is so difficult! Rigo would be great from all the usual suspects melting down but he would get more credit from the fight community for beating GArcia and it would frankly be a much tougher fight.

Him and Garcia is a genuine super fight!

 

Loma's got perhaps one more fight at 130 then he is moving up to LW!

I agree. I think a Loma Vs Rigo are 126 is not only the best fight in boxing, but I think that weight is fair and reasonable for both parties. Loma can still make 126 (but my drain a touch), but Rigo makes it and is still just a bit small. So I think that works out fairly. But it is the arrogance, confidence, and performances of these two guys that warrant a fight. I think it is the best fight to be made in boxing. Not just now, but it is the best fight to be made in the past decade. I want to know who is best out of these two guys. They are both exceptional talents. It would be a shame to see this fight not happen. We probably have the best two amateur fighters in the past 25 years (being conservative) not fighting each other in the pros - when the fight is actually fairly easy to make.

Garcia. Loma would get no credit for beating Rigondeaux, just like GGG got no credit for beating Brook. They will say that Rigo was too small and old.

 

Rigo is old and small. Garcia and Loma are prime, peaking.

What excuses would Loma have against Garcia? That he's slightly smaller? That wouldn't fly with anyone because of Lomachenko's skill level, and the fact that Garcia has fought at 130 before. If Lomachenko didn't dominate Garcia then I would excuse nothing and be the first to say he's not as good as I thought he was. Garcia is made for Lomachenko to look good against, weight doesn't matter when it's a small difference and the stylistic advantage is clearly with Lomachenko.
I don't think Rigo would have any excuses if he lost to Lomachenko either, if you call a fighter out and you're as good as Rigo is then you're not going to have excuses if you lose.

 

Personally Id rather see him pick up anbother belt at 130 against Corrales, or even better Berchelt first.

Then Id like to see him in against Garcia.

I'd love to see either, but obviously at this point Loma-Garcia is the bigger fight, and would be more entertaining. But the boxing dork in me would love to see Loma-Rigo too
