Shame he didn't take the Burton fight...

Don't know much about ford so cant comment on that but the excuses for not fighting the eliminator are nonsense.

FW clearly didnt fancy the fight with Burton...

Also, dont understand why he would not want Yarde fighting on SKY... Lets be honest currently its a much bigger platform for boxing. Why not let him go over there, look good and get the exposure and take a portion of that fan base back to BT.

It's quite embarrassing to be honest, they duck Burton because it's a 'step back' and then fight someone who is less proven than Burton. Warren and Yarde have made themselves look ridiculous here but some of his fans somehow still defend it.

I think it will be a while till we see Yarde tested. I think he'll look like superman till he meets a serious challenge.

It is a duck , but its still defendable.

Hearn wanted to take Yarde over to Sky and send him back to BT with a loss and less marketability.
Yarde is good for BT and i'd personally like to see BT rival Sky so i dont begrudge Warren for not taking the bait.
If Hearn wants to do a fight with Yarde , then offer up Frank instead of the guy who lost to Frank. Hearn was trying to screw Warren over with a bad stylistic macth-up for Yarde.

not really because in yarde and warren's words burton is an easy fight which they would not lose, so why not go on sky for a fight, get the win, get the six figures, get the exposure and come back to BT?
it's a duck, simple as that.

Yarde would be paid , promoted and shown on Hearns network . It has everything do to with Hearn.

Whilst you're probably right it's because Frank doesn't want Yarde on a sky show, it still makes the comments about a step backwards look silly. Also the fact that Yarde would have a lot more exposure had he fought on sky which he could take back with him to BT.

The fight should have taken place whether that be on Sky or BT it would then setup a decent fight with buglioni so we can really see where Yardes at, doesn't Warren always criticise other promoters for doing this exact thing?

In fairness to Hearn, he sent O'Hara Davies over to free to air Ch5 on a rival promotion to fight Josh Taylor because the offer was very good and I don't think he would stop Burton fighting on BT if the offer was to good to turn down.

The problem is I don't think they genuinely believe Yarde beats Burton, if they did they would take a very good payday, go on to another platform and take out Burton and basically stick two fingers up at Hearn.

I don't think Yarde is ducking, I think he would fight anybody but I think Team Yarde do not fancy a Burton fight.

yeah the details would be down to Hearn. but without the board ordering it he wouldn't be making these fights. Buglioni wants to win the British outright and said as much before the board ordered the two fights so he can't decide which one he puts in with Yarde, it has to be Burton.

Ford stopped an unbeaten Olympic gold medalist last year, and is unbeaten himself. That's probably a more significant achievement than Burton's had in his career. Similar level of opponent really but probably a more favourable style for Yarde.

I seem to remember seeing a guy walk through every bum they put in front of him, some of them violently, his name was Fedor, and everyone said Fedor would brutally KO Frank Buglioni, including the idiot writing this post and another one of the esteemed mods, we were both very wrong.

Yarde will prove to be another Fedor, only chinnier.:deal: And Hosea schools his ass, don't know **** about this Ford guy though.

Thats just talk to save face. They all know Yarde would likely lose to Burton at this stage of his career. Thats why Eddie was so eager for the fight to happen.
BT are gathering up a pretty good stable of fighters now and Hearn doesn't want that. BTs success means less viewership on Matchroom cards.
