We all know the Diaz gameplan is to make it a phonebooth war and not allow Manny much room to operate and tee off on that left straight.

Diaz may find himself frustrated failing to pressure Manny in the early rounds but after Manny gets exhausted losing blood after suffering a big cut due to a headbutt (a scenario I think is very likely), he could get Manny where he wants him to be.

Pac has mostly fought opponents suited to his style - range fighters - so I'm curious, how is Pac's inside game? Good or bad?

Not very strong. I doubt it will get to the point whereby Diaz has Pac fighting his fight, so I can't see it being an issue

Meaning you see an early Pac by KO?

Diaz is a slow-starter but I think he'd weather the early storm.

Not neccessarily, I just see Pacquiao's speed being the big difference in this fight. He'll get in and out with that buzsaw style, and he has the power to knock Diaz back and off balance, which will discourage him from trying to get inside

I just can't see Diaz imposing his will enough to make this the inside fight he needs.

I see it more like a late stoppage

Pacquiao has been working on his foot work for the Diaz fight since he isn't used to fighting southpaw fighters like he is.. Roach said it'll be something we haven't seen yet, and dubbed it the "Pacquiao Shuffle" lol.. His inside fighting isn't the best, but he'll come in and throw a lot of combos.. Pac will just be too fast for Diaz, so inside fighting won't be an issue for Pac..

I do think Manny will be able to hold off Diaz' attack, but IMO there will be some points in the fight where he will be forced to slug it out on the inside. Pac's style isn't meant to keep Diaz away, that's what boxers do. Manny is a slugger.

He won't hold him off forever, unless Diaz gets stopped early. One way or another he'll have to rely on his inside fighting. It will happen.

Also, Diaz is more durable than what he's credited to be.

I've also mentioned the huge possibility of a headbutt. We all know how Manny cuts.

I too think there will be points in the fight where both slug it out, but I also see Diaz missing a lot of shits which could tire him down throughout the fight especially with the workrate of Pacquiao.. I see them fighting on the inside at times, but I don't think Pac will have to rely on it.. A headbutt could be possible too, but like TFFP mentioned, I see the speed being the difference so he won't be there in front of Diaz to get hit a lot.. Question Marc, how are you predicting the outcome of the fight?

Pac's infighting isn't too good. He's much better landing on the way in.

Diaz has a history of finishing strong (against Sta. Cruz, alebit a lucky shot, and against Morales).

I see the fight ending by Pac UD, with a lot of rough spots. 116-112 or maybe even 115-113.. somewhere along those scores.

Those were my predictions exactly, but more along the lines of like 117-111 or 116-112.. I wasn't sure if Pac was gonna' bring his power and speed up with his weight, but I think he's in way better shape than when he was fighting at 130 and then after seeing Diaz's dismal performance against Ramon Montana, I have a hard time believing this will be a close fight.. Diaz is known for strong finishes, but I think Pac's speed and workrate will tire down Diaz, not to mention Pac has been working a lot on his footwork in training.. So now I'm predicting Pac by late round tko.. If the fight does go the distance, then I see it wide for Pac.. We know Diaz is slow, but fighting a fast slugger like Pac, he could become a lot more slower throughout the fight..

check out the Morales 2 fight, that entire fight was in the inside.

Pac was pretty alright, he always had his feet and head in the right position.

check out the KD in the JMM-Pac 2 fight. It was actually a short punch, during an infighting sequence, when JMM got careless and slugging it out closequarters.
