Canelo vs GGG. Your PPV Prediction

    Even though the Canelo vs GGG fight was slightly lost under the hype of Mayweather vs McGregor one, I guess it will take its place in the history in terms of PPV buys. Firstly, let's look at the gate numbers, since the tickets are sold out and cost is very high, live gate will be approximately 25-30M $, which is going to be the 3rd result in the history.
    1-2. Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao $72,198,500
    1-2. Floyd Maweather vs Conor McGregor ?
    3.Floyd Mayweather vs Canelo $20,003,150
    4.Oscar de la Hoya vs Floyd Mayweather $18,419,200
    That's very impressive i.e. it is already will be one of the best ever by one parameter. So that leads me to the thought that PPV numbers are also will be good. Here's the top 7.
    1 Mayweather vs Pacquiao (May 2015) 4,600,000
    2 Mayweather vs Oscar De La Hoya (May 2007) 2,480,000
    3 Mayweather vs Canelo Alvarez (September 2013) 2,200,000
    4 Mike Tyson vs Evander Holyfield II (June 1997) 1,990,000
    5 Mike Tyson vs Lennox Lewis (June 2002) 1,950,000
    6 Mike Tyson vs Evander Holyfield I (November 1996) 1,590,000
    7 Mike Tyson vs Peter McNeeley (August 1995) 1,550,000
    My prediction is 1.500.000 - 1.800.000 and the 7th result in the history(including MayMac). What's your prediction?

    Hard say how much the Floyd circus will go. If it is a monster black eye to the sport, numbers will drop considerably. If it turns out way better than expected and gets people excited for the sport, they could be impressive.

    I think this fight has a fairly low floor, and a pretty high ceiling.

    1,000,000 is my guess. The Floyd fight definitely will eat into what this fight would have done.

    As for the op question, after being swallowed by the turd tsunami that is floyd-McGregor, this fight will do 1,2M only.

    my guess is most people won't buy 2 ppvs that close together

    Floyd and mcgregor is first so s lot of people will buy that and not canelo vs ggg

    don't know for sure what Mexican fans will do
