Neri (and its spelling variants) is a prevalent surname throughout all of the Mediterranean countries. It was my Sicilian grandmother's maiden name (pretty large clan in Sicily...with some, ahem, "connections" way back in the day). It also is common in France, where a town also carries the name (written as Néry), the site of a WWI battle. Spanish/Hispanic, French, Italian, or Portuguese/Brazilian should be your first guesses when you hear Néry/Neri/Nery...really Irish shouldn't be a guess, period. That's like guessing someone named Cheung is Norwegian.
Jesus ****ing Christ you're dense. South and Central America is completely made up of Indigenous populations mixed with various ethnicities and races from every corner of the ****ing planet, but the predominant ethnic group is the Spanish. And yeah smartass Ireland and England is basically Spanish, most of the inhabitants from southern Ireland and England/Wales have their fair share of Spanish blood, because the original Celtic/Gaelic Irish and British descend directly from the early settlers who were of Spanish origin Basque to be precise, the ones from the middle and north in the country are mixed with Viking, Angle and Saxon.
Oh...lol. He's thinking of Neary. A homonym of Neri/Nery but etymologically not related in the slightest. That name derives from "Ó Náradhaigh" in Gaelic.
Despite the numerous rumours which spread over the years, they aren't actually related from a 'mother-daughter' point of view.
It's what's in the blood or gene not the color. Mexicans have that warrior in them. Didn't expect less from nery.
Actually, the name Nery is from the creole word Nerysanya which roughly translates to 'Connor is going to show angles we've never seen before'
Sadly for him, it won't matter, he gets stopped once again. He should have retired after the second Moreno match, now he's gonna retire with not one but two KO losses on his ledger.
I agree, I don't see how he can win the rematch to be honest. Nery is just too energetic and powerful while Yamanaka is past his peak.
