So, wins over a handful of contenders and complete unification of the division. Depending on how he looks, he might well be in contention for a spot somewhere in the lower reaches of the Top 10, yeah.
I don't know about ATG at this point. Maybe in the jww div? Who was an ATG jww? It's pretty early in the existence of the division to be designating ATGs maybe? There were probably an ATG or two who fought there...Pac comes to mind. I dunno, I don't think Bud is anywhere close to done being great, so am content to skip that claim for awhile yet. Let my man work!
Not saying he's ATG. Just thinking in terms of the division itself. But full unification is a big deal; and dominating the field helps his cause in terms of his placement, too. Not saying he's at the level of a Chavez, Pryor, Loi, Locche or even a Cervantes. But if he wins convincingly he looks to be in the same company as maybe someone like a Tszyu or a Hatton. It's a pretty stacked division historically...But full unification and domination of the field in the process is pretty historical in its own right. That said, I think Indongo is better than people give him credit for being. So, I want to see how Saturday's fight plays out before making any claim of greatness just within the weight division for certain.
