This is getting embarrasing now, turning our beloved sport into a circus, since Bellew has beat a one legged haye he has called out Fury parker (both who would smash him to next week) but my god calling out Bisping in an octagon, lost for words, and platforms like sky sports boxing egging him on ffs this needs to end
It won't happen as not enough money would be generated as neither fighter are household names. To use a quote of Jack Kearns, (Jack Dempseys manager) "it would not be worth a bucket of warm p*ss".
Yeah, there wasn't enough money for bellew in the WBS. He beat a one legged past it dadvid haye in a panto fight and now he and all the casuals thinks he is a star.
Bellew should fight either Wilder or Parker as clearly Joshua would easily beat him. The talk of boxing/MMA fights will likely end unless something amazing happens on August 26th.
Big Tony needs to fight Haye again, no doubt he was losing the fight before Haye got injured and cannot be happy the way it ended. By all means be the boss in negotiations but make the return happen
It's very clear Tony isn't going to fight on if the bigger heavyweights has he's simply too small But mentioning Ward or the mma guy isn't what the fans want to hear
Bispings stand up game is very agricultural. He will wont stand up long in a boxing match. However, if it allows Bellew to coin it in then he will not be complaining. Plus it reinvigorates boxing, with the crossover interest and new fans. I am sure that after Floyd KOs Conor that there will be the market for another boxing vs MMA boxing match.
In terms of crossover in gaining fans for both sports it may be successful. All in all though it is kinda ridiculous. Floyd and Connor are genuine stars in their sport, a freak show possibly however it is definitely a global event. Bellew is not a world/top grade fighter, his story sells though. From what I have seen of Bisping he looks far from special. This fight would not deserve the media attention.
