Dumbest post of the day, posted by the biggest ku klux klan follower on the forum...

How many times has peter cancelled fights?
    How many times has vitali?

Why the **** should Peter get any credit? Vit's been out the ring for 5 years. FIVE ****ING YEARS! He won't be anywhere near as good as he was, and yet people here want to proclaim Peter as a hero if he beats Vitali. It's PATHETIC.

Peter gets credit in my book anyway, but he aint beating Vitali, has everyone forgot who Vitali is, he simply beats every HW on the planet right now even full of rust, unless some injury pops back up and stops him in his tracks its a forgone conclusion for me....

He aint blowing Peter out of there no way, to much time out, but he wins, and when his form comes and if he keeps away from injuries we see the real HW champ reclaim his throne for as long as he see's fit.

I'm considered one of the biggest Vitali-haters on the board (even though I don't hate him, I just think the hype doesn't match the reality), and I like Peter.

But even I will say that a victory for Peter won't prove anything. It's not a matter of opinion, it's a fact that Vitali has had a major lay-off and extensive injuries.

I believe Peter could possibly have beaten a prime Vitali, but this fight won't prove that either way.

Peter cant beat the weaker chinnier brother let alone Vitali at prime.

Prime Vitali beats Lewis, it will never be proven but he is (or was) that good.

Sam is in a lose lose situation...
If he wins he beat an over the hill, Rusty good big big man.
If he loses he's expossed for whatever reason's...

But if Vitali win's, he will be looked upon as the next coming
And guranteed the first words out of his mouth would be
    "This is my last fight"

No credibility but it can definitely open a door to that deciding fight that will give him not only credibility but also the one and only Heavyweight Championship of the World. Peter beats Vitali and brother Wladimir will show up to unify... But it's risky because looking back at Vitali and at Peter-Maskaev, even considering Vitali's long layoff and multiple injuries, nobody can say that Peter can keep Vitali from lasting the distance... And if Vitali lasts the distance with Peter...

    "Never be proven" is right...

I agree with Drexl, even if Peter wins it doesn't prove much because Vitali is coming off a long long layoff, without a warm-up (daft) and with a history of injuries.

I still won't believe this fight until I see it happen. And even then, one of them will trip on the ring steps or get injured by the microphone or something.

It will bring him closer to getting the fight with Wlad!! The only fight that matters in heavyweight. David Haye should fight the winner of Peter/Vitali. That way u knock out 2 birds with 1 stone.

No, I really won't consider it terribly impressive for Peter to have beaten yet another extremely old, rusty and often-injured opponent, unless Vitali really shows something special to indicate he's back in his old form.

However, it is just plain silly to say that if people won't give Peter credit for beating a guy who's 38 and hasn't fought in five years, they just plain won't give him credit for anything! If he beat Wlad Klitschko next year, for example, I would give Peter loads of credit.

Peter could not even get past Wlad yet he will now beat his brother?

Peter is a flat footed plodding target for Vitali's jab. Vitali could win the fight on that alone. Peter had problems landing flush on Wlad how will he land on Vitali who is taller and has that lean back style?

Wlad is better than Vitali ever was.

Vitali failed every time he faced elite fighters. I refuse to base my opinion on a fighter by how good they look against trash. If we did that, then Hamed would be the an ATG Featherweight, Hatton would be an ATG Jr. Welter etc..

You should judge a fighter against top quality opposition and in the face of adversity.

Wlad has come though tougher tests than Vitali ever did.

Based on what, your opinion? What other short, fat, slow, crude sluggers have given Vitali any trouble in the past?

Sammy is tailor made for Vitali, who's a counter punching awkward fighter with power in both hands.

Prime Vitali lays a beatdown on Peter a la the Sanders and Williams fights - a prolonged beating, round after round.

The retired, rusty Vitali? Who knows. If he is at 75% of his prime, he beats Peter. If the layoff & injuries make him a shell of his former self, Peter gets to hit him in the back of the head and get another laughable KO.
