Crawford was just huge last night. Could easily move up to 147 and even 154 is possible

His whole body looked a lot thicker than Indongo's, he'd make a good sized Welterweight.
It has been overlooked, he has enjoyed the advantages size brings, but has the skill and enough size to be the force at Welter so hey.

 

I don't think his weight had any impact on his fight with Indongo though. He didn't use his strength to push Indongo around and he didn't take any shots.

 

I never thought he was that big, Crawford is great but I doubt he can stand up against the top at 147, I might be wrong but guys like Spence is massive.

 

He's 5'8 and he makes weight.

 

He's thicker than Indongo because he's shorter. Don't spread lies for your agenda. Both men made weight and broke no rules.

This is what's wrong with boxing: the fans. Not the promoters or greedy fighters, but the finicky fans that find ways to discredit someone because of race or nationality or religion or whatever and take away from a victory by using excuses like this. The fighters and promoters adapt to the fans finicky behavior and then we get cherry picks, marinating fights, money excuses, etc.

 

Yes, but guys like Spence is "completely massive" for 147... those 7lb is a big difference on that level.

Edit: I just heard an interview him saying he's moving up, that's interesting and exciting, I guess I might have to eat my words...

 

The thing is, Crawford doesn't use his weight to push people around. He doesn't use his size to win fights. I mean, he just fought a guy that's rangier and taller. When he fought Postol, same thing.

That's the difference between Crawford and Spence at this point because Spence uses his size and his skills, where Crawford wins fights just on skills alone.

You could make an argument for Crawford being PfP #1.

 

This. Also, I never looked closely enough, but Crawford clearly had a longer reach than Indongo. Boxrec is way off with listing Crawford's reach at 70". Crawford's reach is at least 73" or 74".

 

Weighed in at 140, rehydrated to 158 in the Diaz fight. Wouldn't be shocked if he was 160+ last night. Yeah, he's not massive.

Pac weighs in at 144 and rehydrates to 147-148. When he weighs in at 147, he "balloons" to 149.

 

Size has nothing to do with him beating Indongo but keep reaching.

 

All depends if the guys make weight easily enough I guess,I've heard so many go on about Canelo who in his mid twenties is still apparently outgrowing his own body lol,truth is Canelo is a short,stocky middleweight who's been draining down to 154/155 but now forced to come to 160 as 154 is no longer doable without looking like a corpse.

 

I didn't see a big size disparity, Crawford was thicker around the chest area and that is most likely due to his training methods and the people he had at his disposal to shape and mold his physical look. He was most definitely the better conditioned fighter. Can't pour salt on him for that but some people are trying to just that. If Indongo had access to the training advantages of Crawford, he would have long ago outgrown 140.
