Terence Crawford would have beaten Pacquaio from 2009

It would have been a great fight, personally I'd probably side with the Pacquaio who blitzed Hatton but that's not to say my opinion won't change, Crawford seems to be getting better and better.

 

Pacquiao has TERRIBLE times with people who box. This version of Bud would be a nightmare for Pac at any point in his career.

 

DLH/Cotto= Drained. Hatton already viciously KO'd by Mayweather by that time. 2009 Pac was a complete myth.

 

Pac was too fast for him at that time.....................

I'm a Crawford fan, but Pac in 2009 was a pure animal.
I see Crawford potentially being stopped in the first 6 rounds or being dropped 2-3 times with Pac taking 5 of the first 6 rounds, with Crawford adapting to Pac later on to take the latter rounds, and losing a decision.

We saw Crawford's limitations exposed against an undersized, past prime Gamboa who was lighting Crawford up - it was only power and overall size that Gamboa lacked.

People should remember that Mayweather beat a past it Pac on the basis of only a jab or one right hand per round for 8/9 of the 12 rounds. That's the very definition of an ultra competitive fight. I don't think Crawford has enough to be able to replicate that against a 2009 version of Pac.

 

Crawford would struggle to beat today's Manny.

Most top 160lb fighters would look good draining themselves down to fight in the 140 division against midgets with t-rex arms.

There seems to be two cases of people when it comes to a prime Pacquiao. They're both wrong by the way. Those who consider him the 2nd coming of SRR and those who consider him just a normal regular ATG. While Pacquiao may not have been the best fighter in the history of the sport he was absurdly good. Actually he was insanely great at one point. Pacquiao is not Postol, Gamboa, or Indongo. He's one of the most vicious and tenacious machines ever seen in a boxing ring. He has quite honestly the best combination of speed, power, quickness, aggression and workrate that the boxing world has ever seen p4p. It took the likes of Erik Morales and JMM to even stand a remote chance against a prime Pacquiao. Everybody else was just railroaded. And those fighters are extremely skilled technicians with cast iron chins. Or in other words ATG fighters in their own right.

I rate Crawford extremely high too. But this is Pacquiao we're talking about here. Crawford hasn't beaten anybody or fought anybody anywhere close to that level.

 

Pacquiao has no business being at this weight. He was running through a poor class of 140'ers and above at that time. Cotto, Hugton and Oscar Dela fish nets, so on and so forth.

But this class of Crawford, Thurman, and Spence are a different breed they are the real deal.

Who ever said Pacquiao of today would give Crawford problems is being ridiculously delusional.I was at Suncop Brisbane or Brisvegas, i saw the fight.

I am telling you Pacquiao is 38 soon to be 39 and looks every bit of it. He is old AF for boxing and should retire.

Wrong. Floyd Mayweather, Sweet Pea, SRL, SRR, Tommy Hearns are the only 5 welterweights in history who would have a chance against 2009 A-Side Meth Pacquiao!

Maybe Delahoya and Mosley could make it a tough fight also.
