Do you guys think Loma has the ability to actually outbox a master boxer like Rigo? People are leaning towards Rigo as being the somewhat better boxer on the outside while Loma has to pressure intelligently and outwork Rigo. Loma has been compared to the likes of Whitaker or Pep so perhaps the idea of him being able to box circles around Rigo isn't out of the question. For me I favor Loma based on his offensive output and activity as well as his versatility. I feel that Loma can choose to swarm or box defensively if need to. But I really think that Loma, especially at this stage, is gonna show what he's really capable of once he gets in the ring with a skilled operator like Rigo. I can't wait.
Yes without a doubt. And I think he can box Rigoblins skull in actually. This will be Loma's major coming out party.
The only question is: will Rigo be overwhelmed with Loma's skills and end up in the same "No Mas" predicament that Loma's last few victims fell into?
If he does then it should put him up there with the true greats. I didn't even know this fight was confirmed.
My man Bread said it best last week in his mail bag, something along the lines of the display of greatness that will be shown will be an all time spectacle.
Yeah, nothing more impressive than beating a smaller, older, less active fighter who hasn't beaten anybody good since 2012 IF you consider Nonito Donaire good lol. Crawford-Gamboa meant more than this.
You can't seriously be comparing Gamboa to Rigondeaux? A man where an entire division ducked so they didn't have to face him vs a C level bum who has accomplished nothing in the sport. The reason no one is on his record is because they didn't fancy their chances against him. Just ask Carl Frampton Crawbully wouldn't have the balls to go anywhere near Ridgondeaux, he will carry on fighting the indongos and Lipenets of this world who no one would have ever heard of besides his hardcore blind fans.
Umm Nonito was considered a top 5 P4P for a while before Rigo beat the brakes off him. So yes, a win over a solid fighter like Rigo would be significant and would also solidify his P4P ranking when all is said and done.
Exactly what I was thinking. We're in the business of discrediting people on this board. Might as well keep it going. Rigo going up how many weight classes? Smh
I know, right? People are triggered beyond belief that Crawford is getting any praise when those same people have been touting Rigo for years off the strength of a win which has only grown less and less impressive. The best part is Crawford going from weight class to weight class, as Loma currently is, while Rigo has never left SBW and has beaten like 2 guys currently ranked in the top 10 of the division.
I guarantee you if Crawford announced he was fighting Rigo you would be talking him up as if he was a mythical Greek monster. You already glorified complete bums on Craweford's record and you have the audacity to downplay Rigo's ability and accomplishments.
