The prime thing has to count for something,I mean what is Rigos Cuban age?if it's anywhere near Ortiz listed age he's about 50yr old lol

This is why IMO the jab, and the reach are key to the fight. With Rigo's measuring jab, which eclipses Loma's reach, he's going to keep PBL on the end of his punches. He's going to keep Loma from just rushing in with the pity patter stuff to make you drop your guard. Unless Loma can hit Rigo really really hard very early, he's going to have an extremely difficult time adapting to fight Rigo.

Good point Rigo is good when you attack him if Loma fight the way he did to Marriaga he will end up with a pumpkin face.

I think Rigo is better but age and size make him the underdog.

I wonder how Loma will react if it's five rounds in and he hasn't laid the glove on Rigo. Can he adapt? He hasn't dealt with adversity since Salido and he responded poorly. This might be like a shrunken version of Pea-DLH.

I think the fight will go one of two ways...

    1) They both throw jabs all night and I see Loma sneaking a victory for being more aggressive.
    2) Loma tries to dance round Rigo and either gets a KO or gets KOed.

With Loma wanting to always put on a show, I think he's going to fall for the 2nd option, and get knocked out. I don't think it'll be early neither. I think they will both be cautious as hell during the first 6 rounds and will cancel one another out. This is when the crowd will start booing, and Loma throws caution to the wind and gets hit with something he doesn't see. I'm going for a Rigo KO between 6-12

Look at all these people acting like Rigo can walk on water FFS! Sad thing is that after the fight they will be making excuses why he lost.

No excuses from me, although jumping two weight classes has to be commended, even by the biggest Rigo haters out there. This would be like Loma jumping up two weight classes to fight Bud.

For me this is the best fight that can be made. Two absolute master boxers. If this was at 126 I'd probably pick Rigo by close UD but I think at 130 Loma some point during the fight will land hard enough and be able to follow it up to get the KO.

Are you just basing this on his last fight where he was literally just toying with an overmatched opponent whom he knew he could have ended at any time he wanted? Because he hardly gets hit flushed, nor does he ever get careless enough to fight stupidly just to entertain the crowd. I'm sorry but I just can't really see that kind of outcome coming from Loma.
I see Loma approaching this fight much like he did against Walters. Loma would be more than happy to go 12 rounds in a dull fight.

Not really; Lomachenko just jumped a weightclass just over a year ago and he is average sized JLW frame while Crawford has a large KWW frame. Rigo also has a longer reach than Lomachenko.

loma/rigo my personal p4p#1 fighters in the world. both of these guys are technically sound and fight levels above most fighters. They have different styles but are almost perfectly matched (weight the only exception) physically. I think the determining factor is who has the best timing and can set up punches off that timing.

I bet even vegas will have trouble giving odds on this baby

Really? I can. He's already lost one bout due to being naive, Rigo can fight dirty as well and can spoil pretty damn good to take opponents out of their rhythm. If people think Loma is just going to walk through probably the best defensive counter puncher in boxing history, you're in for a rude awakening. Loma got cut up in his last fight, Rigo has broken cheeks before.

As I said, Loma isn't gonna stupidly walk through a pure counter puncher like Rigo. He can box intelligently much like he did against Walters. He can choose to boxing circles around Rigo, which I know he'll choose to do.
