    Tyson-Buster was 45-1

The highest I've been able to find for Pav-Pocket Rocket is 15-1. Most I've seen are 9 or 10-1ish.

    Not even close.

He isn't the best middleweight in the UK.

Who is? Seriously asking, I was wondering that the other day.

Oh for sure, its hard to ever match Buster's underdog status in a 2 horse race. But in true revisionist fashion, Buster had one of the great heavyweight jabs. Lockett doesn't have great anything

Wayne Elcock is the British champion, he put up a valiant effort against Abraham, I'd pick to outbox him

Old ass Howard Eastman is still lingering around

Matthew Macklin famous for his wars, that would be a hell of a fight, and a virtual pick'em, which shows how bad Lockett is

Then there are prospects like Paul Smith and Darren Barker, who I personally think is the best of the bunch

Yeah, ESB currently has it 58-3. That is pretty bad. **** part of it is though, probably atleast 45-50 of those voters (myself included) have never ever seen Lockett. So if the guy pulls a "buster" and has the fight of his life (still won't be enough, no long count this time) criticizm will rain.

I am not sure who the best middleweight in the UK is to be honest.

We have four or five who are about on par.

Howard Eastman is past his best, but gave Duddy a good workout and could probably have won. At his peak he would be streets in front.

Matthew Macklin has long been marked out as a possible good contender, and would have my fiver on him in a bout vs Lockett.

Wayne Elcock is half decent at European level, perhaps Euro/gatekeeper is his niche, certainly better than domestic standard.

Paul Smith is a good fighter and versatile, but has a padded record. For me the jury is still out.

Darren Barker, the Commonwealth champ, is racking up some decent wins, I feel a European title shot is around the corner. Good prospect and could go a long way.

I haven't discussed Duddy and Lee too much because I think most people accept that they are way overhyped and, in Duddy's case, is a walking W for someone with a bit of pop and plenty of stamina.

I really like Macklin, he's fun to watch for sure. IMO, him vs Duddy would be a *******.

I would love to see Paul Smith make some big waves too. He did a great job on the Contender, and only had to go home over a cut. Pepe said he'd bet his own ass Smith would be a world champ one day.:yep

Dunno about Smith, he looked horrible in his last outing against a journeyman. He keeps getting into the wrong fight, never uses his skills at all. He's a dumb fighter

He fights Steve Bendall, a solid domestic gatekeeer type, who Barker schooled and knocked out in 7. It will be interesting to compare.

I think Smith would do a job on Bendall.

I am not a fan of Pepe Correa - shouters and screamers really get on my wick, hence my dislike of Enzo Calzaghe.

    Who is Gary Lockett?

If Jermaine Taylor, the fraud champion, had participated in such a fight he would have been blasted all over the boards for not fighting a live fighter. This is a waste of time fight for an "ATG." Am I the only person that sees this parallel? Where are the boo birds?

That said Pavlik will KO Gary Lockett quickly and follow it up with 3 more tune up fights before being rested enough after the brutal Taylor fights to face a legitimate challenger that actually deserves to be on his resume.

They are all quiet because Lockett is Kelly's mando challenger, allowing him a reprieve in this instance.

Hard to believe, but once you get to know Sports Network and the WBO, you will realise why very quickly.

Yup, and at the same time the Booo's are holding back, so too are the "War Drums" from the Pavlik faithful. All in all, yeah, on paper this fight sucks.:yep
