Did Mayweather's legacy improve or worsen last night?

  1. Improved considerably. He beat a bigger, younger, fighter and breaks Marciano's record. 50-0!

    3.1%
  2. Improved a little, as per the above.

    15.0%
  3. No change - this was basically an exhibition fight.

    58.3%
  4. Worsened a little - see below

    9.4%
  5. Worsened considerably. An 0-0 novice got to the tenth round & won several rounds vs "The Best Ever".

    14.2%

Improved a little. The magnitude of this event can't be denied. Floyd has mastered and transcended the boxing world. He's at a level where no fighter will ever reach for a very long time. This enhances his legacy and it even bridged two combat sports.

This event even losing the first 3 rounds did not take away anything from his legacy. You're just a hater if you say otherwise.

At 40 he's slipped obviously, but you still have to give him alil credit for facing a bigger, stronger, younger opponent, who even at 0-0, was still a worthy opponent. Yes, McGregor would get destroyed by any elite 140lber or higher, but you have to give Connor some credit too for making Mayweather work hard for the win. He showed good skill against a master boxer. It was an interesting fight, not great, but interesting. It doesn't enhance or devalue to Mayweather's legacy.

No change. If anything, he will get a little more credit because he's 50-0 now.

He will go broke in a couple of years from now, and the herd on here will cling on to another persons fame in order to feel better about themselves.

It will be hard for any future fighter to eclipse Floyd's PPV earnings. So yes, last nights fight increased his legacy in that sense. Boxing historians in 50 years will refer to his Floyd's financial earnings much like they speak about Ali's (then) unheard of earnings.

Nobody is remembered for how much money they earned.

Floyd will not really be remembered for his fights but for turning into a slick defensive wizard in the second half of his career.

idk think it changed . but for the fans its nice how mayweather went out of character and went on an offensive attack. but that was the smartest gameplan .

Improved a bit in terms of earnings, marketability, and he gained a lot of respect from casuals with his offensive output. A lot of MMA fans are crediting Floyd's accuracy and celebrating how skilled he is, even if they are claiming that McGregor "made him fight". :dunno

With the assets Floyd currently have, it would be damn near impossible to run out of money within 5 years unless he starts giving money away by the tens of millions.. I have no idea why you want him to be broke...

I think little bit. Even if it was wwe style exchibition match. The magnitude of fight and how much it get attention worldwide.

lastly Floyd leaved boxing ring like true champion and warrior.

TBE In terms of business and prizefighting. GOAT defencive fighter and probably top 20 ATG.

in 2000's you can't have better career than Floyd did.also how the money has changed our economy and is viewed as the most important think.

Was not the most entertaining,or most
brave warrior. But was master inside and outside of the ring. Did do everything right in his career.

i like Floyd but sometimes hate him too. Maybe he "ducked" somebody along the road.but it was mainly business reasons. Again world run's around money.so i can't be that critical for Floyd.

Good luck to your life champ. You will be always remembered good or bad.doesn't matter.you did it your way.

Stayed the same.. It was an exhibition to show us what we already know.. MMA fighters would get sparked in a boxing match and vice versa. Nothing more. He's still top 15 ATG after last night to me
