He should be allowed a cage fight and a boxing match vs ggg. I bet ggg would oblige and kick his ass twice.
That's not a sure thing. Quite frankly I'd hate to see what GGG could do to Conor in 4 oz gloves, I'd give GGG a fairly good chance there too.
0. Mayweather's plan was to tire McGregor out so he could get a late TKO. He needed that because he lacks power. Golovkin doesn't.
It is virtually a sure thing, I give GGG like a 7% chance. It's underestimated by boxing fans how limited boxing is, and also how easy it is considerably for a P4P level UFC fighter to get into a clinch and thus finish a fight by nullifying the pure striker - especially solely a boxer. GGG has the right base to cross over though.
Mayweather started off at 130ib and throughout his career has stepped up in weight divisions to inevitably fight bigger men. He was fighting a big man in McGregor, quite possibly 170ib on the night....my point is, he was never going to knock him clean out early. He used his second to none ring IQ to dismantle a big lad. Golovkin would knock him out within 3 rounds, however, he's the bigger man and you'd expect him to.
