gggs jab will be scoring, but not as much as people expect or as often. by rd 3 canelo will be timing that jab and scoring with counter rights over the top which will make ggg a lot less hesitant to fire the jab indiscriminately. this is when ggg needs to hurt his body so canelo will lose the speed in his waist needed to counter the slower man.
Canelo has youth and some of the best inside uppercuts but his stamina is the question mark in my mind along with can he take a punch from a real MW. If Canelo can take the punishment and stay off the ropes we might see these two enter the final round and with today judges it is unpredictable I expect a late TKO on Canelo from GGG but if Canelo wins I give the kid full credit...heck I will give him full credit just for seeing the final round!!!!!
I think this is the one of the closest fights in years, it really is a 50/50 fight. I am tipping GGG but would not be surprised or bothered if it went the other way. This is a fight that is good for boxing now that the circus has left town.
I thought Floyd shoulda been 70-1. Tyson was over 40-1 vs Buster Douglass. I agree GGG should be a solid favorite. Not sure of a KO though. I got a GGG win going to the cards. We will see.
Good choice since you are clearly jinxing every single fighter you bet on. Must be extra careful not to bet on yourself lest you severely self sabotage.
Don't ask me why, but I got a feeling the green red and white towel will be seen half way through round 8, flying across the air and landing on the mat. As ggg is butchering canelos face.
GGG absolutely dominates smaller men. They have no chance. 0.0. Canelo is slippery with excellent upper body movement. He's going to slip that jab and counter it early on but he will get jack hammered by the follow up right hand eventually (in those first four rounds). From there GGG will pound the body to limit his shifty movement. It's too bad because Canelo is a very solid fighter. They should have kept him at 154 for as long as they could to avoid this.
