It goes w/o saying that he won't have the same force at 160, against legit MW's, as he did down below versus smaller men. But he'll still have some force on those punches. Doubt he'll be KOing anyone with one punch, but he hits hard enough, and can string punches together well. That counts for something.

Everything with you is always about power. Canelo hits more than hard enough to get your respect. Power is overrated skills aren't remember that.:deal:

Why is Kirkland classified as glass-jawed when he's only been KOD twice?

Do we really need to go down the list of guys who had great success in the sport of boxing who didn't have a big punch?

Canelo hits with plenty of authority.

Golovkin is not going to be able to walk through him like Wade or Monroe. That said, he doesn't hit as hard as Jacobs, Lemieux or Stevens, guys that Golovkin already took hits from and was just fine.

I'm not sure whether he can take what GGG brings to the table.

I think that Canelo is going to try aim to survive to win a decision. He's going to cover up well and use his upper body movement to try blunt Golovin's offence. He's going to try and walk GGG onto a big counter if he can. He's going to let rip from time to time with flashy spurts of combination punching that will make the judges horny and give them an excuse to hand a decision to him, even if Golovkin wins 2:30 of the rest of the round.

Golovkin knows he has to KO him, or at least knock him down a few times to win.

If the fight gets to round 10 and Canelo hasn't been down yet and is still in relatively good nick, hold your hats on, because Golovkin is going to throw the works at him in the last two in order to get him out of there :deal:

I think GGG will be up to the task.

GGG tried to turn it up in the last round against Jacobs and it looked worse for him than in the other rounds. Seemed somewhat uncharacteristically out of steam in a fight that he had been throwing mostly jabs.

Bumlovkin doesn't have the stamina. If Canelo is still standing going into the championship rounds and hasn't been beaten up, it's going the distance...

Bumlovkin hasn't fought any really good boxer types. The only guys who fit the bill, Ward and Lara, Bumlovkin choose to duck...

I think he will take that risk.

Sanchez has already said that they know they need the knockout to win, meaning that he doesn't put much faith in the Vegas judges. If GGG loses by KO or by decision at this point it is really the same thing. He has no rematch clause with Canelo, and if Canelo latches onto the belts after a torrid fight, there's no way Oscar will ever let Golovkin near him again.

Canelo will stand and fight, so if it comes down to the wire we could have two awesome rounds. This is just my opinion, of course; I'm trying to see the future.
