You all say "bests must fight the bests", but then, as soon as one of the best fighters p4p loses a fight at the end of his career, he's trash and a bum I cant decide if it's pathetic or sad, or both. I can understan why fighters dodge each other, and why they dont fight the bests. Fans are crap. Chocolate is obviously past his prime, in a weight waaaaay bigger than he should be, and lost to a fighter that made a hell of a fight, with a performance next to perfection. No shame in that. Time to retire because he's done at his 30? who knows?, anyway, who wants to live forever? Chocolatito a hype job? ahahhaha, buaah, I dont know if I have to laugh or I have to cry. Shame on you all saying that.
lets be honest chocolatitties is a never was. Guy was placed into the pound for pound with limited skills. Both me and my dad were like.....whos this guy......we watched him fight and were like.....pound for pound my ass. He never earned his spot in the pound for pound.
shame at the people saying he was a hypejob... he is A ATG at lower classes of 105-108 and 112 . 115 was just a step 2 high for him.. if he takes some time off and can go back down to 112 or 108 I think he can be a world champion again just stay away from 115.
Move up in weight didn't range well with him at all Still a very good fighter Still some paydays for him at fly
Yet you don't take any issue with Max kissing Wards ass throughout the entire duration of the broadcast though.
What shocked me about the fight was how easily Choco was dispatched of. He lost the first 3 and was getting schooled in the 4th until he went down for good. This is not the choco that I've seen since his HBO debut. I'm not saying he's a bum or should retire or all that. I'm just stunned as to how easily he was beat last night, SSR treated him like a showcase opponent, which is not reflective of Choco's skillset
A constant droning of Family advice about how he should stop taking all that punishment and the serious risk he is running can cause or contribute to that kind of facial expression. The constant well-meaning nagging might eventually begin making plenty of sense. Especilly if aches and pains that now persist or a slight slurring of speech indicate that what they are saying is true. Add to that the head-butting and this ref's indifference and I'm surprised he didn't walk out like Galota did.. BTW Did you notice the extremely concerned reaction of his wife when he was KOD?
Not only physically but mentally too, the 1st fight was on his mind. He knew this dude had his number plus his trainer died, so that must have been tough.
They should replace Max with Stephen A Smith and Lempley with Virgil Hunter, keep Ward of course! What a commentating team this would be!
Some people are bandwagonists. They jump on bandwagons just because HBO starts hyping someone. Gonzalez was good, but not a pound for pound top guy. He was getting touched up by Arroyo a few fights back. Arroyo isn't that good. Yet people were all up on Gonzalez nuts. Cuadras Rigondeaux'd him, and gave him the pumpkin face. Wangek mugged him twice. Gonzalez is a guy who would have gotten KTFO by Nonito Donaire at 112. He was good, but not great.
