After last night's events, can we assume that there was always vulnerabilities in Chocolatito's jaw?

Could there have been some major chin issues that was hidden from the public for many years that just got found out?

Or was this just a step too far and he was against someone who just hit too hard?

Yesterday night simply didn't look good for him. He was hurt with every punch that Sor Rungvisai landed, every one of them it seemed.

It doesn't seem he can take punches at this weight class at all, at all actually.

Just moved up a weight class too big. If you look at his frame, he looked like a pudgy smaller man, in the ring against Wangek.

It could be, although it might also have to do with moving up in weight, or aging. I don't follow the lower weights as closely, so I am not aware if he shown signs of mandibular fragility previously.

If he's tasted canvas previously, or was rocked by a light hitter, then I would say that it is highly likely that he always had a glass jaw just waiting to be exposed. If not, maybe it's moving up in weight or just getting old, sort of like what happened to Roy Jones.

But one thing is indisputable - however Gonzalez acquired it, he clearly has a glass jaw now.

I don't think this can be disputed, any hard hitter could get him out of there at this point. The man looks afraid of taking them punches.

He showed a great chin in the past.

    115 ultimately was too much

the weight weight class was just be too much same way if you mayweather went to 160 and fought lemeiux and Jacobs/ he would get starched out but doesn't make his chin any lesser

as another poster has already alluded to, he went up another division too far, and thats what happens when you are the best in one weight class and are expected to keep moving up to higher and higher divisions just to prove you are the real superman to all the skeptics.

There was a time that 30 was considered practically ancient in boxing terms as far as the little lower weight guys go but hardly anyone seems to mention that anymore these days. Still Roman has been boxing as a pro for 12 years now since he was 18 and it would be surprising if this hasn't had a detrimental accumulative effect on his body and resistance.

Most flyweights are vulnerable to a featherweight's punches.

I think it was the higher weights which done him in. Those 3 pounds made a huge difference and he wasnt ready for it.

hes had how many title fights in how many weights? Certainly if he had a problem taking punches it would have been discovered by now

That would not be a well reasoned takeaway, MVC!.
