I didn't get a good look at her but I did get a good look at Cotto's wife and she is definitely steaming! I mean, just look at them udders!
You ever see a fighter grow that old overnight though? I can respect some fall off, but that much in less than a year? How do you go from being #1 p4p to not even world class? Even Shane Mosley didn't drop off that precipitously. Well, Jones kinda did.
So many people on this board don't know what they are looking at. Guys who think Gonzalez was a hype job are complete morons.
That style in itself doesn't makes a long career, look at Tyson. Plus he is 30 and from a tiny weight class, it burns them out. 30 years old flyweight is probably equal 40 years old welter weight and above. Plus it's his 4th weight class. How hard is that to comprehend.
I'm one of the people who thought he looked good in his fourth weight class. The power was absent but his skills were still intact. His boxing IQ was still very high in the Cuadras and first Rungvisai matches. You can still be an effective fighter even if you can't knock people out as Pernell Whitaker or Ivan Calderon can attest. I figured he'd become that kind of guy. And for every Tyson there's a Duran or a Chavez who has a lengthy career. Plus, it's not like 30 is an absolute wall for small guys. Rigondeaux is 37 and still undefeated. Pongsaklek Wonjongkam didn't drop off until 34. But yeah, I get what you're saying.
He beat everybody! Just because you don't know the lower weights doesn't mean he hasn't beat anybody. Th fact you only saw him when he was on HBO speaks volumes. The guy is an ATG
Gonzalez went down hill after he went up in weight, boxers should stay at their best weight, this weight gain crap if a mistake...............
Let's be honest he was always overhyped. Resume was weak. No top level operator goes up weight and gets dominated like that.
Rigo has been fighting guys so far beneath him that it hasn't mattered. If he does decide to take on Loma - which I don't think he will - then this will be massively exposed. Luckily for Rigo though anyone with half a brain cell will know that he was past his best, facing a truly elite fighter in his physical prime above his natural weight and so the inevitable highlight reel KO loss should be read in to as much as his detractors will try to say it should. Also FWIW I also rate Loma more p4p peak for peak anyway.
