Exactly boxing is a niche sport, and it is front and centre on boxing channels and part of the coverage of sports channels. However it is a come and go fad on terrestrial TV and that is to be expected. ITV acted like complete C***** with PPV for the CEJ PPV against the 11 fight novice right off the bat, and that would have got every boxing fan angry but its standard stuff. Instead of offering some free to air stuff like Channel 5 and some smaller channels, they went straight for cash grab with a over hyped big name. There is no need to smash on these terrestrial channels showing boxing, no doubt with some fairly lightweight executives making the decisions, just enjoy the boxing!
Some people just like to moan & whinge. Accept it for what it is, boxing isn't mainstream, there's very limited money in it (bar the few at the elite level) As such it will have limited exposure, boxing fans love a moan though eh! As for PPV, simply don't pay if it is that bad, I didn't pay for CEJ for that sole reason.
Boom some one who gets it But people will eat what they feed them If channel 5 came sling with the odd ppv i would happily keep them in business loyalty in this day and age is dead
I ain't moaning about ppv I buy what intrest me Its itv they could have had a strangle hold on British boxing Remember Wednesday nights and Saturday afternoons in the 80s,early 90s Then some posh c u n t wants throw shyte like love island and curling down your throats As I said loyalty and promoting and helping the individual that actually as a talent unlike the bo llocks that is todays viewing
