Okay, so you suddenly think its unfair and ridiculous that one time they will have a British referee in a title fight in Britian, yet you see no issue with it being mandatory for the ref and all judges to be america in vagas?

You will also tell us that the referee and judges in both ward kovalev fights were great and unbias too right?

I'm calling out everyone on this intellectual dishonesty, if you think this is a travesty why aren't you up in arms every time a foreign fighter competes in america

It does, when the ref is Terry O'Connor. He's known for:
    - early "British" stoppages
    - very biased scorecards towards whoever his favourite fighter is
    - carrying Cleverly back to his corner vs Kovalev
    - trying to wave of a fight from the other side of the ring

Most UK fans disapprove strongly of the inept O'Connor.

Victor Loughlin would have been a decent shout, I think.

Yeah, seeing as his camp and his fans were saying this will be an easy quick demolition job, I'm surprised how worried they are about this.

    Terry O'Conner isn't a good choice though.
    He'll be replaced, I think.

The referee won't make hughie any tougher so i don't see it being a huge problem, only Ian John Lewis could stop Parker and its not because he's biased its because he's terrible.

Guys, Britain is the home of the Magna Carta and home of modern democracy as we know it and a fair and just legal system.

So if you can trust anyone to be fair, it is the British. So no more of these disgusting and unsavoury allegations please.

Well there is guaranteed to be a British Stoppage now O'Connor is one of the worst referees in the sport.

Hughie Fury has 10 kos. If Joseph Parker finds himself in trouble at all, he deserves what he gets. This fight is basically a fringe top five contender (Parker) against a fringe top 10 contender (Fury).

The WBO belt here is worthless.

Frankly, I've been less and less impressed with Parker since the WBO belt has been in play. He looked ordinary against Cojanu (who I don't even know if he was a top 50 heavyweight) ... and Ruiz seemed to deserve the nod (and I'm no Ruiz fan) in their vacant title fight.

Parker needs an explosive win here. Whatever momentum he had going in to the Ruiz fight is long gone. Another poor performance here and Parker may not even have a legit claim to being a top five contender.

I'm reserving my final judgement on this shocking development until @Ayatollah weighs in with an "official fatwā" :deal:

I don't think Connor is inept at all... He's completely conscious of the disgustingly bias crap he pulls.

I agree its not fair at all, the only reason I called that poster out is that when this happened to kovalev twice he had no issue with it at all and thought the referee and judges did a great job which was a joke.

I called the all american judges and refs out as unfair and I'll call this out too, but at least the judges with be international.

Anyone can call it unfair becuase it is, but when you see no problem with it at all when your favored fighter benefits from it you are being intellectually dishonest.

I'm a fury fan and I dont think he needs any advantage to beat parker if he is at he's best. If that happens it will be a boring fight though because I like Hughie as a boxer but he is boring safety first.

Could someone link me up to the complaints from Team Parker about Tony Weeks being the ref for the Ruiz Jnr fight, which broke these WBO rules? I can't seem to find any.

    Thanks.
