Cooper dropping a young Tyson.
Patterson lasting 6 rounds

http://ringsidereport.com/?p=57102
Tyson hitting Fraizer with everything plus the kitchen sink and cant stop him

Bonavena giving Tyson a tough fight

Whats next:
Lennox Lewis in the 90s.....the 1890s with Jim Jefferies giving Lewis all he can handle where he has to dig down deep in the well lol

The article should read:

Mike Tyson in the 60s- KO 1....a few may manage a couple or few rounds more

Funny stuff, Tyson needing 15 rounds with Terrell?! I read a post on a message board once where a guy said that Tyson could beat all of Ali's 60s title defenses from Patterson through Folley in the same night and he wouldn't need to go 15 total rounds. When I look at the list, it might be true.

This is absurd! And Bonavena would be frighteningly overmatched.

Better than claiming Tony Galento can beat any modern fighter bc he fought guys on his porch..YES ppl like this exist.

It's almost as bad as a late 80's boxing mag i saw when Tyson was pole axing thru the division. They had him axing all bar one or two greats in history. I bet they'd feel quite foolish looking back now and seeing what transpired.

Read this one from 2009. I think Graham is the same writer who said David Haye was easily the fastest HW since a prime Ali.

Smith and Tucker lasted the 12 round distance, Green and Tillis lasted 10 each.
Terrell's not a worse fighter than any of those.
That's worth considering.

Oh Yeah,...Big Book Of Boxing...World Boxing...The Ring...etc. In Late 1989....early 1990...they had Tyson steamrolling thru Johnson....walking right thru Dempsey....slaughtering Louis and Marciano...pounding Ali...etc.
I always said"Let see what happens when he's in a real fight"...then along came Buster Douglas....and we saw what happens when Tyson hits someone...and they hit him back. Mike Tyson NEVER got off the canvas...and then came back to win the fight. Tyson goes down...fights over!!!"

What are the terms of service on this site? Because I feel like summarily puncturing some empty heads...
I'll sleep on it.

They used lots of movement. The thing isn't that they survived the distance its how they did it.

I would favor all four of them over Terrell. Tillis and Green were in against the 19 year old Tyson, Tucker was an undefeated pro, an outstanding amateur, and was also big, strong, and durable. Smith 6-4, 230+, was one of the hardest hitting, strongest, and physically imposing boxers ever. He wouldn't look out of place today, standing beside Joshua and the Klitschkos.

Terrell, who was listed at 6-6 but fought much of his career weighing below 200 pounds, wouldn't be strong enough to stand up to Mike Tyson. Terrell, in his prime was floored and beaten by Thad Spencer who NEVER won another fight.
