    Team Rigoblin can't even get their facts straight. They said that Team Lomachenko lowballed them with an offer of 500K (which by the way, is 475K more than I think Rigoblin deserves), but in the next sentence said that the offer wasn't real.

    Howso? AB made $1 million against Mikey. And AB is 50X a bigger name than Rigoblin. Lomachenko hasn't seen $1 million, I don't think.

    Why would Rigondeaux deserve more than $500K when he's had literally ONE good win on his resume from four years ago?

    Rigo's still getting paid from the 7 fight, $10 mil Roc Nation contract he signed a couple years back. Pretty sure he's only got 3 more fights due by end of 2019 to fulfill all of it.

    A couple hundred grand either way from Top Rank shouldn't have been the deal breaker. My gut feeling is that there's more to it than that. This is all speculation, but it wouldn't be tough for me to see a scenario where Roc couldn't secure any other names whatsoever after they hardballed Loma a couple years back, and they threatened to put Rigo on ice if he didn't take it now. Just my 2 cents.

    I think that he deserves an honest check because he is a champion and brings a master skillset to the table. I am not saying he has to get as much as Loma but he deserves an honest payday. He has people he has to pay also. The key is to hype the fight as much as possible so that everyone will be satisfied with a decent check. The sacrifices that fighters make should not be taken for granted.

    Boxing is entertainment. Rigo fails as an entertainer. As great as he is, Donaire and Amagasa are the only watchable fights of his.

    Then you have a guy like Roman Gonzalez whose style makes every fight a scintillating experience and he gets paid similarly to Rigo.

    If Rigo got into professional boxing to make money, then take some risks, open up your offense, and entertain people. He's been given incredible exposure (3 Pacquiao cards, headline fight against Donaire, headline against Agbeko).

    Rigo and no one else buried his own marketability.
