Round 7. That's dealing in reality. To get the official scorecard to 114-114, he gave Canelo round 7. My argument is that the round was so clearly a GGG round that nobody within reason could give it to Canelo, which makes that card a robbery since the outcome would've been different had it been scored correctly. Round 7 is one of only 2 rounds the "joke" card gave to GGG. That's how clear it was.
I stopped after you said strong argument.. No need to read the rest of the BS. You don't wanna talk about the fight so blablabla on
Round 7 GGG missed about 40 F'ing punches are you kidding. Effective Aggressiveness, Ring Generalship, Defense, Clean punching. That's how you score a fight. Round 8 and 9 were the only rounds GGG blew Canelo out. The rest of the rounds were close. Learn to score a fight
but you give ggg rounds for mindlessly following canelo around the ring, missing wildly and getting countered cleanly?
Golovkin won 7 if he won any round. If you scored that for Canelo you need the remote, cause you're on the wrong channel.
Oh sorry. Was talking in general, as in Alvarez has gotten bs scorecards before especially the mayweather fight. But he got wide cards vs. Trout, lara and cotto. It's becoming routine.
Pretty easy way to fix this- GRADE judges, just as the NFL grades refs throughout the season. If they have a score that deviates by 3+ points from the other 2, they get an F, simple. If your grade starts dropping over time, you don't get anymore high profile fights. If your grade continues to drop, you go find something else to do with your time. This won't happen of course.
GGG also landed more punches and the better shots in the 7th along with throwing more. That you're holding him to a higher standard than Canelo in how you award rounds already tells me you view GGG as the superior fighter.
Two of the three judges got it right in the end. 115-113 and 114-114 were logical scores. I have no problem with the result. I have a problem with one judge's score. It's too bad that is getting all the attention. I lost a case of beer because I was sure GGG was going to win this easy and have at least 1 knockdown. I scored it a draw. Canelo was the BETTER boxer. GGG was the aggressor.
You can only give Alvarez 4 rounds at the most so those other tow scorecards were also poor particularly that draw. Come to think of it i have heard Atlas say the judges are bought and paid for by the promoters on several occasions.
Now that I agree with that. Canelo has got some questionable cards. The Mayweather one was probably the worst of them all
Effective Aggressivness. Clean Punching. Ring Generalship. Defense is how you score a round. Not he threw more and landed more.. So he won. I gave it to GGG because he controlled the pace of the round.. Landed the cleaner shots And controlled where the fight was (Ring Generalship). Hope you learned something.
