Nah man it's more than just incompetence, to get it that wide there is some blatant sneaky **** going on. She is literally the only person that I've seen say it was 118 - 110. If there was a fair judge in place of her the outcome would have been different, that's why it's corrupt.
If the other two judges looked at the fight like everyone did GGG would be the winner. It was a CLOSE FIGHT geez.
Teddy was the man in that video! Stephen A Useless refused to acknowledge that boxing is corrupt, he's an ESPN yes man, towing the agenda. GGG won 9-3 or 8-4 at worst, NONE of the judges got it right, pretty shocking isn't it? Not one of them had it right, that's 0/3! But here's the rub, Adelaide Byrd's outrageous card is on purpose to take the heat off the other 2 cards which were shockingly bad too, in comparison to hers 114-114 and 115-113 seem 'normal'. 114-114 was just as disgusting .
It was a close fight, nobody is denying that. People are annoyed because Byrd's card was blatantly messed up, which has an effect on how the outcome could have been. This is why there is a backlash.
Its funny how some of you think that scorecard was no big deal. What did you think about that 114-114 score in the mayweather fight? And according to some of the past scorecards in CA's fights, the lara, cotto and trout were all one sided fights. There seems to be a trail a bs here.
I don't agree with a lot of what Teddy says but gotta love the passion he has for the sport,he was so worked up he couldn't even stand still.By the end of the segment he was standing right in front of that TV yelling at Stephen A Smith
I see a lot of guys only talk about offence, but ignore the fact that GGG missed almost 500 times.. You say GGG threw more and landed more in a round, but ignore the fact that his punch % was terrible that round.. Effective agression, defence, ring generalship, and clean punches are how you score rounds.. You guys are ignoring half of those by just talking about how many punches GGG threw and landed...
Judging by your earlier comments it is hard to understand who you are criticising or defending. It came across like you were saying GGG lost the round. In some cases throwing more and landing simply does win a round, depending on the manner of how each boxer is performing.
Quoted for posterity! That was one of the best posts I have ever read. This actually holds water and you are the only one I have heard present it that way. They are already planning their angle for the rematch that will probably be in Texas stadium with Lawrence Cole refing. Most thought they would not dare pull some crap in the second Ward/Kovalev fight yet it was even worse than the first. So I wonder how they will top themselves in this rematch?
I get you, and I'd agree if it was anyone else, but Adalaide Byrd is a judge known for completely incomprehensible scorecards, sometimes against the A-side too. IMHO it was incompetence not corruption. She's well-known for having nights where she honestly had to be blind to score it the way she did. A corrupt judge would've scored it 115-113 Canelo not made it blatant 118-110. This was a disastrously bad scorecard, but it is not actually her worst card if you count MMA.
A lot of Canelo supporters are also missing the plain and simple fact that for 7 rounds in between the start and end of the contest his lack of activity has cost him the fight.... In the eyes of a very large majority.
Look at this entire board descending into madness: trying to advance this close fight narrative. Same thing happened after Kovalev/Ward. Everyone complains about corruption but go right along with it when it benefits their fighters and make excuses after it slaps them right in the face. Truth be told even that judge who had Golovkin winning was an awful card. Anyone you gave Alvarez over 4 rounds is an imbecile with serious issues. You actually have to try hard to give him 4. The worst thing is now all us stupid marks will argue this to death until the rematch in May and no doubt afterwards because that will not satisfy any of us anymore than last nights farce did.
