Where would you rank GGG - Canelo in terms of robberies in boxing history?

You can't seem to let this go Herol. Byrd's scorecard was not legit - simple mathematics the dice was loaded. I hope you understand that point at least. I thought Triple G won so did most at ringside and scoring it wasn't a horrible robbery but Byrd's card tilted the balance. Check the poll on another thread on this very site of who won the fight. Maybe you'll get a clearer picture. Hey end of day Triple G defended his belts for 19th time and public opinion is he deserved a win not a draw. We move on to the next one.

I agree. So was Kovalev Ward 1. Canelo at least landed more than a Jab he had some flashy moments. But Triple G walked him down all night like a champion

It was actually Golovkin who initiated the showboating by repeatedly shaking his head negatively whenever Nelo landed a good shot. Finally Nelo responded by showboating and doing the same. That's when GGG stopped with the head shaking.

I was surprised since I had never seen GGG do that before. Neither had I ever seen GGG so dedicated in trying to knock an opponent out. I think that his frenetic pace was because he was missing 50% of his punches while others were being blocked and so he attempted to compensate by increasing his punch output.

Also, what you call an expression of amusement at Nelo's showboating seemed to me like an expression of surprise and slight embarrassment since he was unable to hurt Nelo in that corner even after Nelow calmly and confidently lowered his guard inviting him in. So I guess we differ in opinion on those points.

    BTW

I see no cause for surprise at Nelo's ability to evade punches since he has been demonstrating that uncanny ability in all his fights since Mayweather.
I guess the kid started studying MW evasive technique and incorporated a lot of it into his style.

you cant seem to let go of it, you mean. I supported it first time you wrote it.

Makes no difference to the result.

    WHats your problem here?

    maybe you wont.

    its a defence for sure.

8th or 9th defence depending on whether he defended versus Danny Geale or won the title against him. That was his first recognised world title win. 2nd tier notcoveringtheworld"reg" and unrecognised IBO never count for anyone.

Double figures looms, figures crossed he can make it.

The decision was a scam. 1 judge was not in the pocket of somebody.

Wasn't THAT terrible to be among up there that high on all-time lists of worst robberies.

Nothing beats Coggi-Gonzalez 1. One draw that was worse was Lewis-Holyfield 1. Holyfield won 2, maybe 3 rounds. He got absolutely dominated in round 5, the most one sided round in their two fights, and Eugenia Williams gave the round to Holyfield.

I definitely did not agree with the decision, but I've seen a good number of worse robberies.

Although Byrd's card was absolutely horrendous.

It was indeed a robbery and a scandalous act of premeditated irresponsibility. If a more responsible judge would have been there, the fight probably would have been called the same way as the second judge. The draw was also out of line.
