Oops, so that also precludes my next choice, Burley. So:
    Ketchel, Fitzsimmons, Walker, Lamotta.

Well there is a guy fighting tonight, making his 19th title defense owing the WBA, WBC, and IBF belts. He might wake up the lineal middle weight champion tomorrow.

Better stated, not with Oscar De La Hoya and Las Vegas judges.

GGG was robbed into a draw last night. It was worse than Lewis vs Holyfield 1, and that one was pretty bad.

I disagree I thought Lewis Holyfield was worse. But yes Triple G deserved the win.
I'm an American but I have to admit there is so much corruption favoring certain fighters aligned with the money that any American that cries over judging in England or Germany should be ashamed.
At least it wasn't a loss. To me beating a peak Canelo and Jacobs as Triple G has done in my eyes puts him in the mix. These guys don't even enter the ring anymore remotely close to what middleweights used to come in as- across the board he is fighting against a stacked deck and he's still winning as a clean fighter in his mid 30s impressive. To say the least.

I wouldn't have Robinson or Greb in my top 4 MW.

I also rank Golovkin 2nd behind Hagler and ahead of Monzon.

My next 3 are Hopkins, Burley, Gibbons.

Las Vegas is in the US is it not? How come Adalaide Byrd is still officiating? She is totally incompetent!
This woman has a track record of off the wall scoring!

    • 2012, Apr. 14 - Brandon Rios vs. Richar Abril for the WBA World Lightweight Title - Byrd was the only judge to score in favor of Abril who lost via split decision. Many felt Abril won the fight and her score was correct. Scores: Jerry Roth 116-112, Glenn Trowbridge 115-113, Adalaide Byrd 111-117
    • 2011, May 7 - Kelly Pavlik vs. Alfonso Lopez - Byrd was the only judge to not score the bout for Pavlik, instead having it as a draw. Scores: Adalaide Byrd 95-95, Richard Houck 98-92, C.J. Ross 99-91.
    • 2009, Apr. 24 - Cory Spinks vs. Deandre Latimore for the IBF Light Middleweight Title - Byrd and Steve Weisfeld had the bout for Spinks, while Jerry Jakubco scored in favor of Latimore. Scores: Adalaide Byrd 115-112, Steve Weisfeld 114-113, Jerry Jakubco 112-115.
    • 2009, Apr. 17 - Selcuk Aydin vs. Said Ouali - Byrd was the only judge to score in favor of Ouali. Scores: Jerry Roth 116-111, Robert Hoyle 115-112, Adalaide Byrd 113-114.
    • 2008, Sep. 5 - Antonio DeMarco vs. Jose Reyes - Byrd was the only judge to score the bout for Reyes. Scores: Patricia Morse Jarman 96-93, Robert Hoyle 95-94, Adalaide Byrd 93-96.
    • 2006, Apr. 8 - Wes Ferguson vs. Josesito Lopez - Byrd was the only judge to score it for Lopez. Scores: Chuck Giampa 95-93, Robert Hoyle 97-92, Adalaide Byrd 94-95.
    • 2004, Sept. 4 - Lamon Brewster vs. Kali Meehan - Byrd was the only judge to score in favor of Meehan. Scores: Adalaide Byrd 113-114, Dave Moretti 114-113, Nelson Vazquez 115-113.

I disagree with this. I had Lewis winning 117-111, and Gennady winning 116-112. So I think Lewis-Holy was a bit worse. When you further consider that this was a heavyweight unification for all the marbles, it amplifies the tainted nature beyond that. At least in my mind it does.

    "no non middleweight champions"
Leaving these names out,and assuming they are your picks too? Which four make up the next quartet as in the ATG's at 160lbs?
I hadn't realised dyslexia was so widespread on this forum.:BangHead:

Dyslexia would mean I couldn't read the words, not that I couldn't understand the words.

You mentioned ATG's I don't have a list of champion only ATG MW fighters.

Anyways both Gibbons and Burley held MW claims just as valid as the one held by Jones Jr.
