i have to re-watch the fight. watching it live i felt canelo did very well but i admittedly have a pro canelo bias.

all the hate and controversy has me rethinking my opinion, it's like i'm conceding canelo had to have lost because of all the backlash it must be my pro canelo bias that had me seeing the fight all wrong. i didn't judge the fight but could easily see anything from 115-113 canelo to 115-113 GGG anything more than that would be a clear bias towards the individual fighter or and individual style of fighting.

i feel bad for canelo because i feel he should be getting all the praise in the world for his performance as should GGG but instead we have all this negative backlash. bad for boxing.

A great read. Dont agree with it all but such a closely competitive fight brings many perspectives.

I agree. I tend to enjoy backfoot fighters more, and I'll admit as much but I try to leave my personal biases out of it. A very close fight will always bring this kind of a backlash. Particularly when neither gets really rocked or staggered. THere were very few clear rounds for either. I'm just excited for the rematch.

All his work is top notch. My favorite was the Sugar Ray Robinson one. Goosebumps every time.

Too kind of a conclusion. You don't need to be nice to GGG fanboys and the hysterical masses alike.

    10 - 2 Alvarez.

No way. GGG was jabbing for too well to have that kind of a scorecard. Get out of here Adelaide.

Geat work! This must have taken quite a bit of time. This definitely highlights the great work Canelo put in! Are you planning to do another one for Golovkin? That might be too much but overall, great job

i am a fan of come forward pressure, ko fighters but i am more of a fan of strategy and ways of overcoming skill strength and speed disparities. i was very impressed how canelo avoided getting ktfo all the while landing his own shots and fighting toe to toe in spots. i really like chavez jr's analyzation of canelos performance.

I feel the same way. I think both their stock rose. I didn't think GGG could beat Canelo on points. Canelo in my opinion looks slick in the ring. GGG is a bruiser but I like both fighters almost equally. I didn't want anyone to lose.
