With Ward now retiring from the game undefeated how would you compare his career with Joe Calzaghe, who also retired unbeaten? Who is the greater fighter in your opinion?

    Calzaghe. It's fairly obvious.

I vote both, simply because the thread allows it!

Calzaghe is the better fighter and would win a head-to-head bout.

Joe not being P4P number 1 back in his prime was quite sad really, but the list was stacked as **** back then wasn't it.

Joe Calzaghe. He never needed gift decisions and corruption to help him win.

46-0 >>>>>>>32-0 with a big ass asterisk. DEAL WITH IT

No question about it. At least for those of us with above 85 IQ's

Yeah. I've argued this several times on this board. There's no way Ward beats Calzaghe. Too much workrate and too much speed.

Nothing against Ward, but Calzaghe is better.

Not once the local Laurel and Hardy duo get their network of alts to vote up Ward. They've been carefully cultivating large crops of them.

Joe also had the superior ring IQ. Certain turds on here went on and on about Hopkins ring IQ and Joe out boxed him and frustrated the **** out of him. And THEY will bring up the "He was 43 doe!" BS while ignoring the fact Hopkins best performances were arguably in his 40's and with a TRT exemption ;)

Joe is a freak. Very unique athlete.

Another amazing thing about Joe was he was still really, really good at age 36 (vs Hopkins, Jones). That's pretty amazing, especially for someone who relies on speed/reflexes for his style.

    One-of-a-kind fighter.

Agreed. I also think he would have schooled Froch even at 37-38.
