He fought a total of TWO professional fights outside his home country of the United States?? And these two fights were EARLY in his career and FAR from spotlight fights. Does this tarnish his legacy in your opinions?

Stop bitching? Good luck with that request! Klu Klux Todd is still crying 14 years after The Lewis/Klitschko fight!

No. He could and should of fought away from home but that's his own loss, some life experiences he has missed out on. But if had gone these places he would of won these fights just like he won them at all.

The thing that damages his legacy is the fact nobody really gives a sh1t about Andre ward or his legacy.

The thing which tarnished his legacy are the two disgraceful fights vs Kovalev

to be fair, true, but I expect Andre to be back for a superfight. Hes trying up his value by sitting out and waiting for someone else to become a major power, then come back and face them.

Theres no way hes done at 33.

    There are pros and cons.

The pros to me is that -
    - he retired with an undefeated record
    - was a 2 weight champ.

The cons to me is that -
    - he never at SMW fought a top prime undefeated SMW or top prime SMW,
    - he was always the home fighter in his big fights
    - retired without looking to have truly beaten Kovalev
    - didnt seem interested in facing Bute when both were top undefeated SMWs
    - was in several dirty fights which doesnt look good to me
    - hasnt shown interest in some of the LHW fights that could be made
    - didnt rematch Kessler in Denmark
    - didnt rematch Froch in Nottingham
    - I dont think he fought a mandatory as a champ
    - didnt face Degale at SMW
    - didnt face Dirrell at SMW

No. He was considered the top guy in 2 divisions. Never lost a fight, since 12 y/o. Amatuer standpoint and gold medalist. Moved up and faced a monster at LHW, gets off the canvas in the first fight and boxes him to a (controversial) draw, and stops him in the rematch. He was a guaranteed HOFer even before the move to LHW. He isn't likely to become any bigger of a star or make crazy money (good money though). He is not motivated by it at the moment. Time to go. He is a good commentator/an@lyst, and will remain around the sport. If a big fight motivates him down the road, he is still young enough to come back.

Definitely more cons than pros. Yet certain people on here act like the guy is actually in the running for goat 168 AND 175. Lol
