Is Golovkin being treated unfairly when he doesn't win via KO?

He didn't win either Canelo or Jacobs in dominant fashion like all his fans said he would. In fact he arguably lost both fights and did officially get a draw in one so yeah he's gong life and death with guys his fans before the fight say he will KTFO. He was being overrated all along but then again I already knew this because he hadn't beaten anyone of note.

GGG goes the distance "He went life and death" ... point proven.

Arguably, Trump is actually father christmas. What isn't arguable, and what is certain, however, is that you need specs if you think that he lost those two fights.

James Toney officially beat Tiberi. We all know it isn't true.

He struggled was outboxed and touched up and earned a draw against a guy who he was supposed to KO according to GGG fans. So yes that's going life and death with him. He didn't clearly beat Canelo if he had I wouldn't have said he went life and death with him. A clear win is what PBF did to Canelo. GGG did nothing of that sort.

Here's the problem with Golovkin in terms of this.

Not getting the knock out means he's gone 12.

With his complete disregard to defence it's quite easy to justify rounds against him based on clean effective punches.

Against Jacobs and Canelo he was clearly the ring general, the aggressor and dictated the pace of the fight. But against both he just takes shot after shot, if the other man has good movement he will take a lot of shots meaning his fights will appear close on paper.

Everybody that has ever stepped into the ring with Golovkin has either been stopped, or had the toughest fight of their lives.

Jacobs falling to the floor when fight was over and getting eyelids inflated
canelo huffing and puffing the entire time, and fighting out of character by moving away the entire time.

i think its safe to say golovkin deserves the deceisions hes been getting, (although the draw was gift for canelo) although as a fan i was hoping he would knock out higher level opposition, but i think he would rather win rounds at this stage instead of forcing a knock out and thats alot better than someone like say

floyd mayweather who doesn't believe in his power

Golovkin fanatics told us that Golovkin would KO glass jaw Jacobs. Obviously that didn't happen, in fact it was a very close back ad forth fight that can be argued he lost.

Golovkin fanatics also swore up and down that Golovkin would dominate Canelo at the very least and KO within 2 rounds at the very best. That also didn't happen.

No KO, No domination, no clear victory against Jacobs, fought to a draw against Canelo in his first real fight at MW.

Is GGG being treated unfairly? Well he is considered a top 3, and top 1 P4P fighter, most people who don't understand boxing prefer his come forward style over Canelo's masterful boxing style, and he just made about 30 million...

Nah, he isn't being treated unfairly..

Here is a better question, are GGG fans the biggest CRY babies in boxing?

so you agree that he is a top 3 boxer?

in any case he should top canelo, who I agree with you boxes better, but is inconsistent because he doesn't have stamina. If he had stamina he would be top 3 for sure.

Ohhhh ok. So if GGG flatlined Canelo THEN these Turds claiming he is just "Another EE hypejob, Doe!" would be praising him right now?? I mean those same idiots hate on Loma and Usyk even after we said they'd school the **** out of their last 6 opponents Lol! Somehow I don't think that would have happened.

But yeah blame US for the rejects that hate on a 19 defense world champion that hasn't ever had any run ins with the law or talked a bunch of ****. :wanker:wanker

Canelo was out boxed by Mayweather. Canelo didn't out box GGG. He got beat clearly but he did look good in spots when he wasn't on his bike. He made it competitive, not close

No. Sorry, but **** him, he expects everyone to stand in front of him and trade, which most are not capable of. That's not what boxing is. Boxing is being able to overcome physical disadvantages through use of certain styles and the use of one's mind to overcome your opponent. Personally think Canelo for example did quite well considering a clear physical disadvantage. Had him only losing by 2 or 3 rounds. But this **** about GGG being treated unfairly, no. He's fighting at an elite level now. Whatever about him ko'ing guys a level below him, it's different now. Most knowledgeable boxing fans knew he'd struggle with Jacobs and the Canelo fight was no different.

It was clear for most everyone who watched the fight GGG beat Alvarez. Neither of them went life or death in that boxing match. It just wasn't one of those kinds of fights. It was a great fight at the end of the day and Alvarez made it competitive, but he will need to open up a lot more, keep the fight in the center of the ring and improve his conditioning if he wants to beat GGG.

I think some of the other posters said it already....going the distance in his last two fights is a testament to the level of opposition he's facing. GGG has some good names on his resume that he went through like a hot knife through butter, which gave him this unrealistic hype than no one could withstand his power. The rumor mill didn't help either with multiple sparring partners claiming he hit like a heavyweight

hahaha!!! if you count getting punched in the face more times more often than you punched him in the face, throwing your best shot that has knocked everyone else out and him just shrugging it off like it happens every Saturday and being on your bike because said punch had no effect .......... then yes Canelo won.

Golovkin won the fight, over 90% on the Net had the fight for Golovkin. All El Pollo did was run, fight in spurts, get tired, tried to rest. I had the fight 8 rounds to 4 Golovkin same as Harold Lederman, Paulie had it 9 rounds to 3 Golovkin, I could agree with that score as well. Oscar want's the fight in Texas, with Lawrence Cole as the referee, all three Mexican judges who are Alvarez fans, and Lawrence Cole's father will be the boxing commissioner. Cole is the worst referee in boxing, or course Tony Weeks was very corrupt in the Kovalev fight claiming that blows to the testicles are a sure KO! Vegas is crooked as hell, but Texas is, by far, even worse........................I would insist on the rematch being in MSG with neutral judges and referee, but Oscar wants to cheat again. Rematch should happen ASAP, but Alvarez wants it in Sept.....................or even later, they want Golovkin to get as old as possible..............December would be the best time for the rematch, but El Pollo does not like to fight very often, Golovkin wants to fight as much as possible. He should fight Saunders next for the WBO title, then he would have more bargaining power for the rematch. Oscar can't wait to cheat......................he wants Byrd as a judge, but that would cause him to lose favor with the fans, but that's what he would like...................
