According to Dan Rafael, the terms have been agreed and it will take place in middleweight, thus Andrade's WBA light middleweight belt won't be on the line, for those who are wondering who is Alantez Fox, he is a undefeated fighter in 24 fights with him winning 23 and 1 being a draw, i haven't seen him fight, but he is a pretty tall dude according to boxrec as he is listed at 6'4 and having a reach of 79, so yeah it should be a interesting fight.
I hope he can finish it before 2020. This will be the first time he's fought more than once a year since 2013. No offense to Fox, but a world titlist fighting once/twice a year has no business making him that opponent. If Andrade were fighting 4x a year, you can slip in a fight like that.
I love this kids style. I like him better than Spence even. Just wtf he is doing with his career. Can't knock them tho.
HBO needs to up their game please this is getting ridiculous. HBO needs to get more innovative, they have a good budget. Starting to miss the ol' FNF on ESPN. How cool would it be if HBO did something similar
Just the way the world works. 10 years ago HBO was on top now its Showtime. They'll be back on top again.
Fox is a nobody... His best win is guy just breaking top 50 in the division. The last guy he fought was ranked outside the top 1000... Waste of time for Andrade, I couldn't think of a more pointless fight... Except maybe May/McGregor...
On the bright side, they're doing another SuperFly card early next year. I think that's a brilliant concept, and they need more like it.
Not too familiar with Fox but it is good to see Andrade mixing it up at 160 if he stays there. Alvarez, Golovkin, Jacobs, and Lemieux are all possible opponents on HBO for him. Not sure about HBO's current schedule here, a lot of match ups seem ok but nothing stand out about them at all. They have a number of fights that seem like they should be the opening fight of the card instead of the headliners-Corales-Machado, Jacobs-Arias, Bivol-Broadhurst, and Kovalev-Shabransky. All those fights are listed as headlining HBO cards(some are decent enough match ups) the next few months but I don't see any true main event fight in that mix.
