Is Parker the worst ever "paper" champion at HW?

Wilder is more protected

 

Although Parker hasn't been knocking his opposition out, he hasn't really looked to be in a lot of trouble either. Wilder (on many occasions) and even Joshua against (Whyte) have been vulnerable at points in fights.

Joshua has big credibility because he took on the Wlad fight, Wilder's stocks will rise massively if he beats Ortiz (and vica versa). Maybe Parker could make a big money fight with Povektin - a loss where he performs well allows him to come back in time, a win and he's got all the credibility he needs to make a big unification fight.

 

Is Parker the top heaveyweight in the world -no of course he is not.

is he in the top 5 - definitely based upon whom he has beaten (and his cv overall beats most of them by a country mile)

One year ago, when he beat Ruiz, the then chief of duco said that he wasn't the finished article by far and needed two years before potentially fighting Joshua.

Unfortunately for the past 12 months he has been dicked around by the Fury circus and that has not helped his development.

In 12 months time he will be a 40/60 possibility to beat Joshua and I will take those odds.

 

As far as history is concerned, he still has the chance to be the Greatest of all time (based on never failing yet), if he can beat T-Fury, Wilder & Joshua (unlikely but still possible)

Taking the above into account, Jack Dempsey Parker is still closer to being The Greatest Heavyweight of all time, than to being the worse (anything)
