    1. Canelos power was felt. Towards the middle of the fight GGG walked through his punches

    2. Nerves. GGG looked nervous walking to the ring. He didn't get comfortable until the 3rd. It was his first mega fight. He had big fights with Lemiuex, Jacobs, and Brook. But now he's locked in a true mega fight with 130 million in revenue. Next fight he won't be so nervous.

    3. I'm sure GGG knows that earlier body work would have slowed CANELO even more. If he goes to the body more in the rematch Canelo can get stopped.

Whereas Canelo can't do anything better. Maybe his conditioning? The longer the fight went the worse it got for him. Canelo does worse in the rematch

I was impressed with Canelo's workrate in the first half. He is known to be a fighter who fights only in spurts. But then eventually, he couldn't keep it up. I mean, just look at his build, way too much muscle and mass to have a great engine.

    Agree with your points above.
What worries me however, is that although he was clearly able to take Canelo's punches, GGG was still tentative to pull the trigger when he had him cornered (especially to the body).
I was never a fan of Canelo but I have to admit he's been improving steadily every fight. GGG on the other hand, is clearly on the decline. Not the same snap on his punches, and diminished speed/reflexes.

Unless GGG takes a different approach for the rematch, I expect Canelo to adjust and take the decision.

Goovkin wont try to force a knockout next time. He will opt to dominate him throughly using both offence and defence. Canelo will be lucky to get a shot in for every 3 of Golovkins.

This. GGG and any future Canelo opponent should've took notice that beating Canelo by decision is impossible if you aren't Floyd.

In principle I agree. However, when you sell 100 million in PPV and 27 million in gate plus all the other endorsements, it would be foolish to pass up the rematch. GGG could make another 30 million fighting Canelo. That's life changing money man.

I thought Canelo gave the performance of a lifetime i think he focused perfectly in a serious training camp and did everything he could in the ring. I just dont think he can step up any aspect of what he does, stamina is a bit of a weakness but its something he is stuck with more than lack of any effort anywhere.

GGG can certainly improve on a few things, mainly the body work. BUT, i think in those early rounds Canelo was countering so quickly with heavy hands and with great accuracy. He definatly got Golovkins respect there so we can say Golovkin started slowley and can improve on that but i think Canelo was doing so well Golovkin couldnt land enough of those horrible little jabs and hooks that hurt more than they look like they should to wear the Mexican down a bit. So again its guna take time cuz Canelo is guna be ready with more of the same 2nd time round.

Canelo fought as well as he could in my opinion. Notice in the second part of the fight Canelo was backing off after the exchanges. I just see GGG coming in more relaxed the 2nd time around. The bright lights had him a bit shook. This was Canelo's 3rd mega fight while it was GGGs first. Now with the first big fight out of the way, GGG secured his rematch. He stands to make 30 plus 30 total of 60 million in these two fights. Im sure he will go out with a BANG

It's easy to see why Canelo ducked him for 2 years. 33 year old Golovkin would have absolutely destroyed any version of Canelo.

I agree--GGG's gotta put in that body work, drain Canelo's tank even sooner, then go for the late t/ko. No way he gets a decision if it goes to the cards though. If the rematch goes to the final bell, Canelo will get the decision this time.

This bloke has had 400 fights I did not see any nerves.

Tbh I thought he beat Canelo relatively clear, I do think he's getting old though and struggling to pull the trigger.

I think he's lost his aura of invincibility and both he and his opponents know it.

Jacobs beat him clear IMO and if it wasn't for the kd which was actually helped by him shouldering Jacobs to the ground, there would have been no doubts.

I thought Canelo was made to order for him but GGG was too scared of getting countered which is funny considering he has a great chin, why is he scared of getting hit by lil cinnamon?

Christopher Livingstone Eubank Jr would eat him for breakfast
