Could Andre Ward do what RJJ achieved in defeating Ruiz at HW? I would say the Kovalev II version of Ward.
I could see Ward pulling it off. Not sure it would look much like the RJJ fight, but I could imagine a situation where Ward outhinks and outslicks Ruiz. I can even see him landing a lot of sneaky shots if the two did a lot of clinching and infighting, although this might be something that wears Ward down.
Ward is nowhere near the puncher that jones was even though both have brittle hands. I dont see him getting ruizs respect like jones did so ward would have tp fight inside and maul against a much bigger man and underrated puncher. It would have to be the best ever version of ward for it to be feasible. Lets not fprget ruiz was a master at that mauling and spoiling type of fight. Current ward might not have the agility to box on the outside when he needs a rest especially if he pit on weight like he would definitevely have to tosurvive on the inside where 75% ofthe fight would most likely take place
Jones was a mover, Ward was a mauler. Ward would not be able to wrestle Ruiz. And judging by Ward's performances against Kovalev, would likely get knocked out by the Quiet Man.
