Deontay Wilder won the 38 straight fights, won the WBC Heavyweight title, made five successful title defenses and earned millions of dollars.

He's achieved more than 99.9 percent of all the heavyweights who've ever fought.

You can count the guys who had more consecutive successful heavyweight title defenses on basically two hands.

    He's been very successful.

I don't think he's going to quit. But I can appreciate his frustration.

Wilder isn't the one taking drugs to win fights.

If Wilder started taking PEDs, bulked up to about 260, and started decapitating people in the ring, everyone claiming he's afraid now would by CRYING about him practically killing people.

Seriously, how many guys would be in the morgue if Deontay Wilder starting juicing and morphed into one those tiny-headed guys with the giant muscles - like Joshua and Haye?

A rail-thin Wilder left Liakhovich and Spzilka convulsing on the canvas. If Wilder was juicing and had about 30 more pounds of power behind those shots, they'd have both been dead on arrival.

Wilder has achieved everything one could ask of him. In his illustrious career he fought one top 10 HW (Stiverne) and almost faced two more (Povetkin, Ortiz).

What a pathetic tweet. So he flies home when Povetkin tested for a legally allowable amount of over the counter meldonium for no fight, but he still wants Ortiz - who has twice failed for anabolic steroids and failed again. What a hypocrite. And he cried over it. Lol.
Maybe Joshua will pop for flintstone vitamins and you can sue him too and cry at night over it. What a joke. If you didn't have the cajones to fight Povetkin then you can't fight Ortiz over this.

If anyone feels Wilder is at fault for Ortiz testing positive, then explain to me why Lateef Kayode was also responsible for Ortiz testing positive for their fight.

Al Bernstein posted about two hours ago: "Luis Ortiz threw away his biggest opportunity in boxing at an age when he can ill afford to do that. And he robbed fans of a gr8 fight."

    That about sums it up.

There are some revisionists who will attempt to portray Wilder as a victim for this and the Povetkin debacles.... Sorry, but two canceled fights due to failed drug tests doesn't excuse nearly 3 years of farcical title defenses and holding a major title hostage. He can get a pass for this and the Povetkin fight - but it doesn't excuse his entire title run. Wilder can make this right but NOT facing another soft touch for his next fight - it might not be too late to fight Whyte on the Joshua/Pulev undercard.. He should contract Hearn.

You'd be the first person peeing all over yourself if Wilder showed up juiced to the gills for a fight, weighing 260 pounds, crying that he was cheating and it was dangerous for his opponents.

Wilder's blowing people out now. Imagine if he implemented a strict juicing program and showed up looking like Joshua.

Your head would explode you'd be so outraged.

    You're a hypocrite.

    Wilder
Is at fault for flying home from England before the Povetkin fight before the WBC even made a ruling on the outcome of Povetkin's test. A test that ultimately was ruled to be within the allowable limit of the over the counter and recently banned substance meldonium. Which has to this day not been conclusively proven to be beneficial in performance.
As for Ortiz- Wilder has no one to blame for lining up this old man who has twice failed for hardcore anabolic steroids. His team had to expect that this might happen.
Wilder has defended his titles against D level fighters for over two years now - Molina, Arreola, Szpilka, Washington, duhaupas it's a pathetic run. He will be 32 in October and has fought 1 top 10 opponent in his career. Nearly 40 fights in. He gets no pass. And sad part is his career has been so shady everyone expected a. "Out" would occur for him with this fight.
