The vast majority including boxing afficiando's thought Jacobs won, a lot of them said it was close though and not the worst robbery.

I agreed with them, this board is basically the LLL fan club so don't go off what you read here

Let us look up the definition

noun
1. 1.
a person who is contemptibly lacking in the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things.
"they had run away—the cowards!"
a person who is contemptibly lacking in the courage to do or endure dangerous or unpleasant things.

a person who is not brave and is too eager to avoid danger, difficulty, orpain:

Hmm, how many times did Ward fight outside of his comfort zone that is America?

How many years out of the ring was Ward out for, while GGG was making a name for himself?

Did Ward defend his titles with fights against either beterbiev, Gvozdyk, GGG, Canelo or sticking to his word and moving up to fight at cruiserweight?

The answers to these questions are an emphatic no, which means he is the very definition of a coward.

No one remembers any great battles he took part in, because in most the fights he took part in, he needed everything in his own favor and still fought dishonourably, resorting to breaking the rules of the sport, knowing full well it would be overlooked by the officials and judges.

He knew that after GGG had finished with Canelo, the boxing world would be calling his name out to ask him why he wasn't willing to fight him, though Ward instead chose to retire knowing full well that GGG would have battered him black and blue had they met.

Oh please, spare us the silly fanboy talk. This isn't about Kovalev, this is about Ward prematurely retiring when there is clearly unfinished business he should be attending to.

Having only 4 good names on your record and only 2 conclusive victories is not the sign of a great champion who should be retiring, believing they have nothing left to prove.

This. Jacobs had a few good moments, but was completely outclassed the majority of the fight. I still can't figure out how people had Jacobs winning. Jacobs was so negative most of the fight that he didn't even give himself a chance to win.

He will be remembered as a very smart boxer, Must have been very difficult to manage or promote, as his mindset was wired to take advantage of every opportunity possible...Goosen made it clear, Any input from Jay-Z?

I believe in Andre Ward is capable of beating anybody on his division and up.
He can destroy GGG on what he did to Kovalev.

He inadvertently killed Goosen, there is no doubt he bled that man dry out of nothing but share greed.

Ward believed the grass was greener on the other side and so tried to illegally defame and prematurely venture out of his contract which Dan rightly attempted to extend due to Ward's long lay off and reluctance to return to the ring. Ward dragged Dan's good name through the mud while he was attempting to battle cancer, just so he could pocket more money for himself.

Had Goosen not been embroiled in such a messing case, he'd have had a great chance in winning the battle over cancer, but Ward ensured that he never stood a chance.

Ward's chin doesn't take those shots which Canelo absorbed, he would be sent to sleep.

GGG proved he is one of the greatest middleweights of all time, he legitimately bullied and destroyed Canelo. No one does that.

GGG wouldn't worry about what is coming back and can actually ship body shots without his gas tank failing. Ward knows he'd get destroyed otherwise he'd have pushed for the fight. He saw no weaknesses in GGG's style for him to exploit.

I'm not a gambling man, but I'd put a considerable amount on GGG outclassing Ward for 12 rounds or just completely leaving him sprawled across the canvas.

That was harsh, but true

Andre Ward achieved his main strategic goal from that conflict, he seems to have a very high emphasis on staying undefeated. That conflict allowed him to have an excuse to avoid high-activity, with high activity you catch Ls, Andre Ward is obviously willing to lose any type of $ to stay Undefeated, with the retirement confirming this.

Ward should have let Goosen have peace in his final days, his Above average intelligence (for an Athlete) came at the expense of emotional-sentimental values. As he ages & conflicts with others no longer dominate his life, he will turn on himself & regret the way he handled things with Goosen

You are very right and most people do not understand this and what occured during this saga.

Goosen helped secure Ward with great pay days albeit expecting his slice of the pie, yet nothing ununsual considering that is how promoters work. He wasn't abusing his position.

If it wasn't for Goosen Ward would not have been able to fight all of the super 6 fights in Oakland. Had he stuck with Dan, he'd have been forced to be far more active and there wouldn't be the Smiths, Dawsons and Berrera's of this world padding up his record.

Goosen wouldn't allow Ward to price himself out of lucrative fights such as with Stevenson, froch rematch, GGG. He'd have made attempts to fight Canelo even. He was a great promoter and most in the sport having nothing but good things to say about him.

I hope Dan's death haunts Ward's mind for the rest of his days, until the flashbacks never give him a moments rest in his sleep.
