PARKER vs BROWNE - According to Sources

Browne just isn't a natural boxer. Looks really awkward around the ring and doesn't seem to have a good grasp of distance or angles. If it wasn't for his huge power and heart he'd be nothing.

Parker should destroy him pretty easily, in a shortish one sided fight that has posters wondering why they ever picked Browne to begin with.

 

i beleive that brownes drug test was a set up after he unexpectedly won the fight v chagaev .

i beleive he was clean in the fight.

browne is crude but strong and heavy handed.
put him in a large ring v parker and he will struggle
can browne win / yes if parker fights stupid but browne has been out of the ring for a fair while / is slow anyway and parker should be skilled enough to beat the browns of this world.

not sure of parkers power impressive v no hopers bcause of the speed / but against the top 20 types he has gone the distance every time not even scoring a knockdown or even wobbling anyone seriously.

so i would guess parker 118-110 or something like that.

but a good style clash and a fight i would like to watch.

 

Like this fight. Think Parker outboxes Brown quite comfortably. Can't see any stoppages though.

 

Another challenge has come from Russian Alexander Povetkin, an opponent who would be far more dangerous for Parker given his quality and the fact the fight would probably be held in Moscow. The connections of Chinese heavyweight Zhilei Zhang, a southpaw, have also made an offer, and a fight against either of those two could be held in December, Higgins said.

"We have people working through the offers at the moment," Higgins said. "The offers have to be real and they have to be substantial. Joe is currently on a well-deserved couple of weeks' break. Hopefully we'll be in a position in two weeks' time to announce the next step."

 

I think Joe is the A-side, but some of the criticisms of Browne would be more valid prior to his fight with Chagaev - he really raised his game for that one, showing reasonable work with the jab, movement and generally some pretty reasonable strategy and ring IQ. I remain still pretty surprised and impressed at how he raised his game for that fight, it wasn't stuff you get from doping but actual discipline and skill... which is of course all relative, but he certainly didn't walk into that fight to just thump anything that moved.

 

This. When Browne was WBA regular champion Parker called him out and Lucas told him to ''pee off and earn his title shot''. If it does happen hopefully Parker lights him up.

 

Big Daddy may well bring one...

 

Parker shines against the crude Browne.

 

Parker will end up getting Browned. He'd have better luck fighting Wilder

 

Wilder would just have Parker framed........................Parker/Brown would be entertaining..................
