Agreed. Brian Nielsen is the exemplar for this kind of thing. The names on his CV look amazing: Larry Holmes, Tim Witherspoon, Carlos de Leon, Tony Tubbs, James Smith. It's a who's who of the 80s, except he fought them in the late 90s when they were pushing 40.

Same problem Marciano had. The average age of the guys he defended the title against is like 38. Joe Louis, Archie Moore, Jersey Joe Walcott, great names if he'd caught them ten years earlier in their primes. It's like "Wow, Floyd beat Manny Pacquiao! A 37 year old Manny Pacquiao."

No one's talking about him because no one can pronounce his name.
If he had a good marketing agent he'd change his name to something
like Mike Menahyo. That really rolls off the tongue. Yes, that may be
western biased, but he'd make more money, and that's better for the
boxer. Even Anna Italiano changed her name to Anne Bancroft.

It has more to do with retiring 50-0 than getting to 50-0 that's why it's a big deal. No one has done it besides pbf.

Who says lil guys can't have jabs! He's got a helluva jab I'm impressed. Once he gets inside he attacks body and head like a true champ. He fights really patient, less possibilities of him making mistakes.

Sound logic. Hard to argue against that, sir.

Doesn't matter. A win against a 37 year old Manny Pacquiao is almost worthless whatever age you are. Bernard Hopkins' victory over a 41 year old shot to hell Roy Jones jr. isn't worth more just because Hopkins was 45. All that matters is that in their primes Roy taxed that ass.
If he were really smart he would change his name to something with ready established credibility and wide acceptance in the sporting community. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you Sugar Mike Tyson Ali.

Read my post, I typed it as a joke quote, I wasn't stating as a fact, its a phrase people associate with Canelo.

I am lead to believe Canelo actually said "lets stop f'ing around" but I like the "Us Mexicans" version more.

and I agree with you on this, simply because hopkins' and Floyd's style of fighting aided their longevity, whereas pacman and roy jones were always going to 'age overnight'.
just wanted to clarify that it was age coupled with fighting style that worked in Floyd's favour

Why is Floyd Mayweather not taking care of this?

    This content is protected

TMT should intervene in Thai boxing politics, make a mega-fight now, Wanheng Menayothin might end up losing or getting a D on his record, relieving Floyd Mayweather from the hurt of having Wanheng Menayothin ranked ahead of him in the human-less automated near-future

Both boxers are an undefeated, both are unbeatable world champions, both are minimumweights. Making this fight is a win-win situation for TMT, now more than ever the fight will be popular in Thailand. The King and lots of loyal Generals and the Siamese deep state will back Wanheng Menayothin, the LGBTQI intelligence apparatus, climate changers and the Globalist corporate network will back Knock CP Freshmart, so it will be an even fight.

Knockout CP Freshmart (Corporate-Globalists) vs Wanheng Menayothin (Imperial Nationalists)

Well, at least Floyd himself was 38 while Manny was 36.
But a really good example would be Chad Dawson.
He beat Adamek who was in his prime at 30.
But then he made his name by beating Johnson and Tarver who were both 40.
And then Hopkins, who was 46.

So are Mayweather and Menayothin both better than Marciano?

Ian Gardner was still in his prime, Chad Dawson was the only man to stop Ian Gardner

Prime GGG and Prime Artur Abraham failed to do it
