    Haha yeah probably

It's October and they have finally worn me down and turned me in to a cynical, slightly bitter, conspiracy theorist.

If that happens, Junior will be reduced to shoeshining and throwing roughly 300 uppercuts with his back to the ropes for large chunks of the fight.

(If you were to replace the uppercuts with a Philly Shell defence and pot-shotting with the straight punches, the above is pretty much a summary of how Degale would fight Yildirim.) :sisi1

I think Eubank has what it takes to win via decision, much faster than Yildirim and an equal or better work rate. But I think Avni's strength and pressure will make it close, making it a bit of a toss up in Germany.

The only result that would surprise me is a stoppage.

What's Anvi's bread and butter punch? Does he have a good overhand right?

And the NSAC, VADA and the USADA are all "Move it along, Mr. N17: there's nothing to see here."

To be honest, I think most of us here feel worn-down by a lot of the iffy decisions and other goings-on that have occurred throughout 2017.

Yildrim is the weakest guy in the tournament

Eubank jr wins in a mismatch, probably by KO rounds 5-8

Has anyone notice the lack of Eubank snr presence? He´s normally the one who makes the most noise and loves the media attention. Where is he?

Avni's stock-in-trade tends to be his suffocating pressure and work up close, so naturally he lands many of his best punches at close range. From the (admittedly) little I've seen of Yildirim, his money punches tend to be hooks to the body and right uppercuts to the head. The latter of these should be the chief cause for concern for CEJ -- who doesn't exactly have stellar defensive abilities -- and one would assume he and his team have spent time in camp working on how to evade and neutralise this shot.

    You're welcome.

Even though I think Eubank Jr will come through some rough spells and weather some heavy shots to take an SD or a close UD, I don't really think Yildirim is being given enough credit in this thread.

If Junior exposes and completely demolishes Yildirim in four or five rounds, then it'll be justified; but I don't see it playing out like that. Eubank Jr isn't exactly Pernell Whitaker in terms of his defence, and I suspect he'll be forced to eat a fair amount of solid shots and will have to bite down at various points in the fight.

I'd love to see Jr have to grit his teeth and fight through places he's never been. Maybe Yildirim will be the first to take him there. You never know if a fighter can make it through those situations until they happen.

    Should be interesting.
