Holmes vs Shavers was also a battle of two big punchers. Not say that Holmes was only a puncher as he was a magnificent outboxer but he could bang when he wanted to.

That's a fight I will never forget! Foreman almost got knocked out, both kept coming back, more action in that fight than most fights had in 15 rounds! Was that Gil Clancy in the video? I miss him, he was a good trainer.........

One of the most anticipated Hvy non-title fights when it was made, between a Tyson on the comeback trail after his shock loss against Douglas and the rising Razor Ruddock, who was seen as the most avoided and feared heavyweight around at the time. Some brutal exchanges, especially in the 2nd fight. How anyone can question Tyson and Ruddock's chins and heart after watching that, amazes me.

That fight ruined both of them, It took nearly everything out of them. It was a war though like you said.

The top ones have been covered (zarate-zamora will probably never be surpassed).

Sonny Liston vs Cleveland Williams were battles of huge punchers where the better chin prevailed.

Bennie briscoe - eugene hart was the 70s equivalent of Jackson-McClellan.

Mugabi was shot by the time he fought McClellan, but on paper it was a bout between knockout artists.
