The voice of boxing Jim Lampley signs a multi deal for HBO!

Very good news for HBO.

Lamps is the voice of boxing and loves the sport you can feel the love for the sport when he commentates

 

Isnt it getting a little stale at HBO.It's always good to have a refresh after 5 years.Kellerman,Lampley,Jones,feel like they ha e been their forever.Andre Ward would be a solid addition to their line up.But HBO,they cant go bland,like their stable of fighters have become.Theirs no personalities in their stable,except for Miller,thats what people like now,they havent had one since Mayweather.If i was HBO,why not do a refresh.Top rank have taken Crawford and Lomachenko.Showtime got Spence,Gervonta,Al Haymon.HBO,ageing Golvokin,ageing Canelo,Ward gone,Klitschko gone,Jacobs,needs GGG.HBO piority just looks to be the Middleweight division.It's sad to see how much they have declined over the past 10 years.

 

He's still good, but his prime was 20 years ago.

 

Wow. HBO keeps shooting themselves in the foot. They need new blood.

 

They should just clone Max Kellerman and have him call everything.

"That was a good miss."

"It was miss but it looked like a borderline miss."

"This is best fight since Marciano defeated Sugar Ray Robinson in 1966."

"Max, what does your card look like."

"It's anybody's match, Max!"

"It could go either way, we'll see what the judges say."

Lampley is really played out

 

Lampley always has a bias and comes off arrogant.

 

Lampley deserves it. He's the best at what he does.
He's the epitome of a company man. Nobody follows through with the house agenda better than Jim Lampley.

 

I like Lampley at ABC with Wallau, but I never liked him at HBO. I liked Tompkins and Merchant the best.

 

A young Lampley at ABC called it like it was, the one now is manipulated by the higher up's at HBO that fill the agenda and call the shots.
Dishonesty and corruption at its finest, unfortunately for the true fan, its how HBO and Lampley make big money.

 

Funny how those who praise him don't seem to notice that isn't it?

 

Lampley is a biased piece of **** who has ruined several great fights for me. You can tell he gets told which fighter(and his punches) to hype up by the hbo bosses.
Just thinking back at hopkins taylor 1 & 2 and barrera marquez pisses me off.

Get barry tompkins back if hes still alive.

RJJ is still a great commentator although not as good as 10-15 years ago when he could call which punch was gonna knock a fighter out several rounds before it happened, maybe the KO losses have taken their toll.

 

Lampley has progressively deteriorated over the years, he's almost unwatchable now. Kellerman has always been awful.

Really hate HBO casts.

 

I have seen this dude saying that the crowd was bored to death while the crowd was on its feet cheering the action.

 

Am I right in remembering Lampley pleaded no contest to domestic abuse charges?

Was a while back, maybe 10-15 years ago.
