Not really fair though is it...AJ is at the start of his career, where as we can judge Lewis properly...LL is no 1 h2h all time for me anyway at his best ! This threads probably 10 years premature !

at this point, lenox finds him out and at some point obliterates him late. Lewis was way to smart for this guy.

    AJ has punchers chance.

when i say "ar this point", i obviously dont mean 2017 lennox smoking gnaga in jamaica with potbelly

I got Joshua. Prime Lewis struggled with Mercer and Mavrovic and was almost knocked out by Briggs.

Tbf I think Mercer gives everyone trouble from that fight, tough tough man !Mavrovic another tough gutsy fighter. Plus Briggs always had a dig, and he wasn't a bad fighter 20 yr ago either. AJ's gonna have tough fights in the future that people don't expect, its happened through out history !

Almost knocked out by Briggs is a stretch. Lennox fought Briggs risk free, hands down just unloading shots. Yes he got caught but was never close to being knocked out.

Prime for prime, I'm going Aj. The rest of our fans will have better perspective one we let Aj reach his own prime. People will only be accepting of the Aj atgreatness after fans witness him during his own prime

you cant project prime, you can only very roughly guestimate. For all we know AJ getsktfo and retires in his next fight.

Lewis was in a era where their were proper heavyweights around like Tyson,Holyfield,Bruno,Rahman,Young Vitali was up and coming and he dealt with all of them.No matter what AJ does,he wont eclipse Lennox's CV.AJ would probably, around, round 5/6 go all out and try and knock out lennox, but then would fatigue and Lewis always had a strong chin, look at the barrage of punches from Vitali and he managed to stay up.Lennox would finish him,in the way Wlad couldn't.

Joshua wont be in his peak prime until another 5 fights at least. He would still be Lewis's biggest threat as is,because of his attributes and style. Joshuas's trainer and AJ himself might say otherwise but hes clearly ahead of Lewis's curve at 19 fights( Lewis was fighting Billups / Biggs ),and i would slightly edge Joshua over Lewis who does not like to be pressed early. Its always good to get others point of views by ppl who have been around both, and some have suggested Joshua is better than Lewis too.

Joshua has Lewis beat out in practically everything from speed to power. The only clear advantages i would give Lewis is being able to dictate with the jab bc thats his main punch and nutralize with the clinch . How much would he actually nutralize with Joshua though who is bigger and a devastating inside puncher who needs less wind up on his punches?

How would Stewards Lewis of clinch and smother when guys get close work here? Wlad didnt even attempt it much bc he knew Joshua was too strong and would have started unleashing those uppercuts.

If these two fought Steward would be sweating bullets by such a SHW talent .With more in his arsenal punch selection that sets them up better with explosive movement and hand speed Joshua could to deliver punches in bunches. I think he would make Lewis panic and freeze at some point ,and take over this fight, setting up the knockout either early /mid or late.....

I think Joshua gets the k.O win,hes has sharper, more accurate punching, doesn't need to measure a power punch as much like Lewis and overall has the the fleeter footwork able to come in and out of range more frequent too with just footwork where Lewis moved and stuck his long arm out to create distance more.....

Lewis is harder to hit but thats bc he plays it safe in most fights, that's why many of his went the distance.Joshuas style welcomes more shots but he rarley gets hit flush. He is more capable of ending fights quicker.

    Joshua 9th rnd K.O .

So stupid people trying to compare Joshua to all these greats. The kid has had 19 fights, because hes at such a high level so early in his career people are making ridiculous comparisons like who would win a PRIME Lewis against a 19 PRO FIGHT Joshua... How about you make this sort of thread in 10 years time when its alot easier to make a comparison
