Correct mate but Boxing loses plenty of fans in the longer term being asked to fork out £20 PPV for what is basically similar to a glass of water in a pub.

Don't even think I will even bother watching this Cardiff card in a pub as not even worth the leather.

    This.

Minimum buys will be 400k but I reckon it will be more like 650-700k

Hundreds of tickets in a 80,000 venue is nothing. That's small fry. Break even would probably be 40,000 and they are well beyond that.

Agree on the hotel side but people will stay in places like Bristol which is doable to Cardiff.

The PPV will do solid numbers and I believe it's sold out.

Joshua has that star quality, people love him and he sells. I can't see any event/PPV being a flop at this moment in time.

Hope it does as long as these idiot matchroom and aj fans keep paying for this trash there will be more ppv and they have even put the price up

    No it will not flop

Do you think this is the first big event cardiff has held.

They just held the champions league final and have held rugby world cup . Cardiff has big events all the time .

People love going the stadium is bang in the city centre unlike Wembley which is basically in an industrial area with no redeeming features

Lots of my mates have rented their house on air b and b for 800 for the night so demand is there

The mugs must eventually wake up mate - Pudding Pulev is a 100/0 fight for AJ and he brings absolutely zero excitement to the ring.

PPV eventually eats itself with greed leaving boxing short of fans for years and years.

You're kidding right? Football violence is dead, millwall will take no more than a few hundred to Cardiff, small club who never really travelled north of Watford. A force on their own patch mind. Cardiff is now a sanitised modern club with awful happy clappy support, the ninian park days are long gone

The only difference is the time the main event finishes. In order to make train home after you have to leave before the AJ fight

Klitscho not ending that fight was the worst thing that could have happened to UK boxing I mean they are at point now where they don't even have to try to make the undercard decent lol did you see the trash that was on last night aj and hearn are gonna take all they can from boxing with this humble nice guy trash and After almost getting knocked out by a shot fighter they are gonna fight as many easy fights as they can put the prices up because they know they were lucky the hype didn't end there lol

Because he is cute? Stop being diplomatic...

They are f%cking wetting themselves at the idea of being penetrated by his BBC. That is the sad reality my friend. Thirsty as fook!

The hate for AJ is real. Some people's can't just give the guy props.

The sport has always had stars which can draw on there own. Could be Hamed, Hatton, AJ, Mayweather, Pacquiao, De La Hoya, Tyson.

Now onto this myth that they are milking AJ for all they can with easy fights.

Who exactly do you want him fighting?

He fought Martin for the title. Not his fault Martin was champion.

    He fought Wlad.

    Pulev is his mandatory?

Haye? He lost to Bellew so that was never an option.

    Wlad rematch? Wlad retired.

    Wilder? He doesn't want it

    Bellew? Nobody wanted that.

    Tyson Fury? Blame Tyson

    Whyte rematch?

What evidence is there to suggest AJ is avoiding certain fighters to take easy fights instead?

So AJ is in the position every other fighter and man on the planet wants to be in.

Is it such a bad thing he has a large amount of women wanting to watch him fight? I don't see the problem.

The UK is still in the downward spiral of PPV, because the number of suckers is large enough to keep going for a while longer.
Joshua is the UK's Floyd at the moment. Doesn't matter who he fights, if it's even remotely competitive, they will pay up just to see him.

What's worse is that nowadays every British international fight is behind a PPV paywall it seems, while in most other countries you can watch them for free when broadcasted there.

All in all this will make more than enough money and it will until enough Brits have wised up, which I gues will take another couple of years at least.
It's like the current gamedesigners with their pay to win microtransactions and lootboxes. F__king things up for the rest of us until enough people refuse to longer pay for it.

    /end rant :cursing:
