    Good one Rums!

We're on the same page with this one. There are 3 things that I believe are important in this one though, which you didn't really shine a light on.
    1) You briefly mentioned Loma's activity, which I believe is key here. Loma will probably clearly outwork Rigo in most of the rounds.
    2) Size. You mentioned that too, but has another issue with Rigo having been dropped multiple times, even against less than stellar opposition. Stepping up 2 weightclasses against a P4P talent, will probably see him get dropped at least once in this fight, even if he turns out to have the upper hand technically.
This would have been a much better fight as Rigo had accepted it earlier and at 126.
    3) This is Lomachenko vs Rigondeaux. As much as I dislike A-side and B-side crap in boxing, it's there and it's real. If it's close, Loma gets it... certainly because it's very likely he'll be the man making the fight, so easy to score close rounds for him.

Other thing I do expect in this one is very divergent fan scorecards, as personal preference, like or dislike for one of the fighters will likely color their scores.

Can't wait for it to happen though.

Still can't believe this ones happening. Best matchup to be made at the small weights no question. I'll never forget 2017.

Best year in boxing I can remember.

    'Gargantuan'
    'Significant'
You sound like Loma will win on size alone, showing a little bias.
Did Floyd beat JMM because he was gargantuan? Fact is Rigo was offered this fight when Loma was at 126, he declined.
Rigo himself is not making excuses about the weight.

    I agree
I have to say I fully expect Lomo to have every advantage and the first few rounds will be very closely scored. Lomo by TKO around the 8th

It will be an extremely technical fight at the highest level with the casual boxing fan labeling it as "boring" due to the lack of clean punches landed.

This will be a boxing clinic from both guys that will be watched for generations to come by boxing purists. Can't wait !

    Rigo has the longer reach.

Rigo has really sharp power, and bruises guys up if not outright breaking bones in their faces. Lomachecko swells up fairly easily.

These three things, which were ignored the video, could deter Lomachenko and cut his punch output way down.

Fans tried to justify Floyd's opponents having a chance of beating him due to "higher activity" but on fight night those guys weren't throwing much. This happend for a decade and a half. I wouldn't be all that surprised if this were a similar case.

Did Donaire not have size and activity on Rigondeaux?

Really? Rummy sounded quite nuetral regarding the marginal differences in skill and only mentioned the obvious distinct advantages Lomo possess. Your response seems a bit defensive but that’s just my opinion. I think folks just need to appreciate the fight for what it is, two supreme talents clashing. The salient differences are no mystery to anyone so choosing to depreciate it’s inevitable impact during this bout will only hurt your unmanaged expectations.

Just my two cents, I’m sure I’ll get usual treatment for this response lol.

Damn I’m really rooting for Rigo, the way this man was ducked into obscurity is disgusting.

But with that being said when to highly skilled guys face off, size can be the difference and I think the old adage ‘a good big man beats a good little man may come into play here. so Loma by decision.

Well, elsewhere people have said I'm clearly biased towards Lomachenko. I honestly couldn't care less who wins this fight. I always enjoy watching them both fight. But the fact remains, Rigondeaux IS moving up two weight classes, and I've always thought, physically, he was a little on the small side for 122 as it is.

With so little separating these two in terms of skills, I'm inclined to believe the guy who's competing two weight classes higher has an advantage. Especially when he's also at least 7-8 years younger. And my prediction was in no way based on hypotheticals that never happened. The fact is they are fighting in December, at 130. Lomachenko has been at that weight class for over a year and had 4 fights there already. Meanwhile, Rigo's been at 122 for years.

So the size difference is very real. Lomachenko does have a significant size advantage. But I never claimed he would win because of size alone. If Rigo was moving up to fight your run of the mill alphabet titlist at 130, I'd like his chances much more. But he isn't facing an ordinary trinket holder. He's fighting another boxer who has exhibited something special just like Rigo himself.
