I've heard of and seen a bit of biting in boxing matches before but nothing like the spectacle of Tyson biting a chunk out of Holyfield's ear and spitting it on the canvas .... And then biting the other ear (with a little less success, probably only because Holyfield was somewhat aware of that danger now!) AFTER having been warned (!!?) for the first bite.

That was about the foulest I've seen but there has probably been worse somewhere in history !

It seemed that the referee went out of his way not to disqualify Eusebio Pedroza in his bout with Juan Laporte. Yes, Pedroza committing fouls throughout the bout, especially in form of numerous low blows. As a result, that bout stands out in my mind as the most foul-filled that I have seen on television or in person.

I hope by mentioning Abraham-Miranda you are referring to the bull**** officiating giving Abraham ridiculous rest periods to allow him to continue on despite his mangled jaw. Refusing to take the doctors advice and call it a TKO for Miranda. Typical german garbage.

I suspect most of these are you usual attempt to rewrite history for the Euro trash you are so enamored with.

There is no footage but frizzie zivic vs al bummy Davis was pretty bad, through the first round zivic had dominated using thumbs and elbows however in the second round Davis came out and started smashing left hooks into zivics groin with him landing up to 10 consecutive low blows in a row, when the referee disqualified Davis he tried to attack Zivic again, the ringside police tried to break the two fighters up while davis’ cornermen brawled with sportswriters and fans threw debris into the ring, as Davis was being dragged away by security he landed a kick to the referees legs. Zivic was left unpunished and Davis had his license revoked and a fine to go with it

As if Abraham wasnt being protected. A fouled fighter isnt entitled to medical treatment for injuries caused by legal punches. The doctor tried to have the fight stopped by tko for Miranda but was overruled to protect the house fighter. But whatever your ridiculous bias for european fighters is well known by now. I cant figure out why considering you cant even spell their names right most of the time.

Let's not forget Evander was dirty as sin in that fight too. Holyfield was headbutting all night, but Tyson went way over the top in response.

Basically every Holyfield fight at HW

Whitaker vs Chavez was pretty awful. Whitaker could of easily been DQ'd yet Cortez never even took a point away

Considering everyone was pretty unanimous that he fouled out because he was getting his ass kicked Id say that the narrative that he became enraged by Zivics tactics and lost his cool is bull****. Zivic wasnt censured at all for his performance. Davis' pay was revoked and he was temporarily given a lifetime ban in New York. Thats above and beyond the fact that his actions were so flagrant that he was disqualified for fouling which wasnt even allowed under New York rules at the time. Thats how bad he was, he literally had to be thrown out of the ring. His ban was a decision which was unanimous among the commissioners, all of whom were present at the fight. Bill Brown, the commissioner said: "In my 50 years of boxing-—in and out of the law—I've never seen anything so flagrant. It was the most cowardly exhibition that I ever witnessed." Sam Taub and Bill Stern doing the radio broadcast both agreed that Davis fouled out to avoid the beating he had taken in the first round. Jack Cuddy said that Davis began fouling as a result of "the terrific beating he suffered in the first round," Gayle Talbot said "It obviously was no match from the start. Zivic clouted Davis virtually at will." The Star Journal said "Davis launched his barrage of low blows in the second round because he was apparently desperate and determined to "shoot the works" in an attempt to save the money he and his friends had wagered in the heavy betting." Obviously this means Davis felt he had no other way to win. It added that Zivic had "battered him from rope to rope and put him on one knee for no count." Jack McGrath said Davis had been "revealed for what he is, a punk kid." Sid Federer said: "Zivic was far ahead in the first round, banging Davis with short right and hard straight lefts and tying the battler from Brooklyn up perfectly in the Infighting" He added the audience booing Davis was like nothing he had ever heard in the Garden before. Remember this is the local guy, Zivic was an out of towner and still everyone was unanimous in the idea that Davis was a piece of ****. In order to get out of the suspension Davis said he had been thumbed, causing an injury to his eye which required on going treatment. He showed up to a commission hearing 3 days after the fight wearing sunglasses but was subjected to a medical exam by commission doctors. None found any evidence of injury to the eye. However, immediately after the fight the commission doctor examined Zivic and stated that he was bruised and scraped below the belt and ordered him to take at least a month from off from fighting. Davis talked trash in his dressing room after the fight saying Zivic quit (not so, it was actually the ref who ended the fight) yet Zivic offered to meet Davis in one hour on 49th st. Davis didnt take him up on it. When they did rematch the following year Davis took a one sided beating losing every round (being saved from a knockout in the first by the bell after going down and taking the count) and getting bloodied and battered before he was stopped completely punch drunk. It was a massacre and thats what Davis was trying to avoid in their first fight. He was well on his way, all papers and the radio broadcast agree, and he simply punked out.

Maybe Ali against Frazier in Fight 2 at MSC. 1974. He realized he couldnt stop Joe from getting inside so Ali employed a tactic of grabbing Frazier behind the head and pulling him in to blunt the infighting. Ali did this 113 times in 12 rounds. Between that and the thumbs to Joe`s eyes that has got to be near the top of any list.
