Are you quite sure about that.?
People seem to be automatically assuming that the only way CEJ can win is by 'outworking' Groves.

But if he IS to win - I would wager Jr will incorporate a fair amount of classy clever boxing into his performance: He will have to - anything less simply wont be good enough.
Is Jr outboxing Groves really that far-fetched?

groves was matching elite froch for a while. He will frekin kill brit level Eubie J.

The only things stopping 2G are his delusions of grandeur. He still thinks he beat Froch (by letting froch smash his head off twice).

I give him credit now!!!, you have compared this fight to Conor McGregor vs Floyd ffs

Conor was a novice and Floyd an ATG, the levels difference was farcical!!
There aren't even close to that many levels between Jack & Froch and Abe & Yildirim,

The bookies barely have Jr as the favourite, its pretty much even odds
Nothing to write home about, its comparable to this poll tbh a real 50/50

Floyd vs Conor was a 99.9999/0.0001 but the odds were much closer than they should have been

Groves is the better boxer imo and he's proven it v the better fighters so yh I'm sure

I'd be surprised if Eubank came and outboxed Groves but it doesn't mean it can't happen, would just surprise me

In my opinion, yes. Groves is the bigger man, longer reach, great jab and straight right. Has outboxed world-class opposition for extended periods in fights. Great pedigree. Plus he has power in those shots.

Eubank, perhaps not helped by tennis elbow or whatever, barely seems to throw straight shots. I simply cannot imagine him jabbing with Groves and competing in a boxing chess match. His strengths do not seem to lay in that area.

No, I compared Eubank's apparent self-confidence with that of MacGreggor. I didn't compare the two fights any further than that.

Everybody else including Saunders himself might disagree.

It was an extremely close SD, mostly because Eubank gave away a couple of opening rounds.

Ther s more to boxing than straight shots though. What about footwork? Head movement? Infighting? There are many areas where the more athletic cej could have the advantage. I agree he will lose a stand up boxing match....but there is more than one way to skin a cat...and more than one way to win a boxing match. Junior seems to be broadening his repertoire every fight. He may have progressed to the point where he has multiple ways to win, not just the one everyone talks about....pure work rate alone.

Greats don't go 1-1 with Kessler.

elite is those who can beat all but a few elites. froch beat all apart from ward. this is elite.

I concede he doesnt have elite skills in the traditional sense, but he has elite attributes in other areas.
